  • I do the whoosh. I work and work and have a deficit and NOTHING. Every few weeks it all seems to go at the same time. Don't know why but it's happened like that for me for the last year!
  • That because I'm a vegan I must be self-righteous and know nothing about protein/carbs/fats.......(fill in the blank) How about, I eat what I eat and what makes my body feel and run it's best and you eat what you eat and feel and run at its best?! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
  • My lower back used to just kill me all the time. There would be days I couldn't stand up straight. Once I started losing weight it helped but what truly made a difference was core work. I will tell you at first it did hurt especially the next morning but in the last 3-4 months of really working my core I've found that back…
  • THAT'S AWESOME! Keep up the great work mama! Gorgeous smile btw!
  • ...are delicious! The only thing with a banana is that as it ripens the natural sugars become more concentrated as they naturally breakdown and if you have to watch your sugars for health reasons you might want to avoid ripe bananas. Otherwise, enjoy!

  • Exactly! :drinker:  :drinker:
  • Food. I really enjoy exercise and it's not so much food choices as much as the amount of food.
  • When I decided to become a vegan the first month was kind of difficult. I felt horrible and tired and hungry all the time. It was somewhat disheartening but I decided to keep it up and I researched transitioning to veganism. I was doing what a lot of people do and that was to eat a ton of "veggie burgers" and soy junk. I'm…
  • Also vegan. I'm actually looking at recipes for Easter Sunday as we speak. Feel free to add and HI!
  • The high after a good workout is great. Also, for me, it's a great stress relief.
  • I do think it's sad but I don't think that it's just something that hit us out of nowhere and it's not something that is just hitting the United States. The whole world is going through the same thing on some level. If you think back to how much food has changed and the way we deal with it on a daily basis. Food is all…
  • Hi! I'm all about hemp! I make a hemp shake in the mornings after working out and it keeps me running all morning. (Nutiva). I think hemp is similar to a lot of other foods where on it's own it is not going to magically make your a physical specimen BUT I think in conjunction with other smart diet choices hemp truly has…
  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but, aren't your sugars already calculated under carbs? Or, included with carbs I guess?
  • That sounds lovely. I'm thinking that would be awesome with walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • 2 bananas 1 cup oatmeal Put the bananas in food processor and beat them to banana goo. Stir in oats. Bake at 350 for 15-20 mins. You could add cinnamon and nuts. I've added vegan chocolate chips. Very tasty and quick IMO! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
  • What about weights if you're not already? Or as another person mentioned bumping up your weight routine if you have one. I do love my cardio but I have seen a dramatic shift in my body with weight training.
  • Ok this one is just creepy!
  • FANTASTIC JOB!
  • Fat is not bad. Olive oil, avocado, nuts, flax, healthy good fat... A calorie is a calorie when it comes down to losing weight no matter where it comes from. They key is finding out how you work best. Another poster mentioned a higher fat and protein intake and less carbs to feel good. I have tried that route and was…
  • I have three kids and they all have allergy issues. My oldest has severe allergy issues and if she comes in contact with a peanut or eggs she could have anaphylaxsis. We've had a lot of learning to do. Corn is actually much harder to avoid than you'd think. The biggies that have to be labeled are milk, wheat, nuts, soy,…
  • My neck of the woods, South Grand, South Grand, South Grand. Had many many meals at the City Diner!
  • Yeah I feel your pain. About a month ago between a lot of traveling, lack of sleep, quick foods, and pms I had a 8lbs water gain for a few days. It does freak you out when you work so hard for the numbers to go down and see that kind of jump.
  • AWESOME AWESOME JOB!!!!! Keep it up! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
  • Could be! As someone else mentioned go get checked out. I did and found it was an Iodine deficiency. Wouldn't have known without testing and a lack of many vitamins and minerals can mimic each other.
  • Good advice. I personally don't have thyroid issues but almost every other female on my mom's side does and they were all told the same thing. My doctor, knowing my family history, recommended that I take and Iodine supplement. Check with your doctor first of course but I have noticed I'm more clear-headed in general, my…
  • I always steamed but got into baking them! So good! Some herbs and spices and baked carrots and zucchini!
  • I'm vegan so my protein comes from beans, almond milk, hemp protein powder (Nutiva), nuts/nut butters, my cereal... The majority of my calories come from carbs and I'm losing nicely and numbers are perfect health wise (bp, sugars, chol). My protein isn't super high but I get plenty and it's not hurting my health or weight…

  • Good post. Wondering the same.
  • HI! Feel free to add if you like! It did take me awhile to get it down so that I got a good variety of recipes. There was a learning curve for me. The more I researched the easier it got. LOVE LOVE some Amy's and Annie's! I do avoid the veggie burger route because for some reason it makes me feel icky. I do like falafel…
