Why does my weight go up after doing weights?

OK, I know this may be seen as a stupid post but I have noticed when I do a weight workout (or do a lot of double bit axe chucking) my weight goes up for several days, it does come back down but I would just like to know what causes this and of course, if there is any way to prevent this happening.

because your muscles get tiny tears in them when you do heavy lifting and they hold water to repair themselves.0

When you do something that builds muscle, it first breaks it down a little then rebuilds. Micro tears. That process uses a lot of water. So it's water weight.0

Just kidding. Water weight/swelling, as mentioned above. It goes back to normal for me in 2-3 days, generally.0 -
