Excellent article I know that we are all practically brainwashed at this point that crunches will "help" give you washboard abs (assuming you drop fat) but there's a lot of professionals in the industry who disagree and are more in line with the points of the original article. So I guess for me, issues such as this come…

Yes, you can. I believe an airman died back in 1999 in Air Force basic training from over hydration. Salt tablets are now handed out as part of basic training for the military services because it is the ack of salt that is actually dangerous. I typically try to do at least 2-2.5 liters of water a day

@Qarol..thanks so much for posting that and the fact that you can see my profile..I was wondering about that but hadn't experimented.
-
lol..no problem..I can see how the way the way the topic is phrased might have come over like that.
-
@jmruef..actually I don't have a problem with no photo if there is a message with the request.
-
@dayzeerock...wow you're tougher than me..lol
-
@Ogothicao...I actually agree with you if you read my initial post..I have no problem if you want to get motivation from reading what others post. Just tell me "why" you want to be added as a friend when you send the request. That's my beef..lol The only time I might consider dropping someone who is already a friend is if…

I drink anywhere between 2 and 3 liters of water a day but in work I cannot avoid drinking 20 oz of diet dew in the afternoon. I don't like coffee! I used to drink a lot of diet soda before I picked up the water habit a few months ago.

I have a gym membership at a place called Rapid Fitness. I like it when I go but since I started P90X, I only go to the gym on my Yoga X day and my rest day. If I do doubles in the next round, I'll end up using the gym much more on a weekly basis. I like the gym but I'm single and the scenery is good so that plays a large…

Daily so that I know what's going on with me day to day. But I weigh in officially once a week.

Raleigh...this is an awesome site..

On the second day of my second week...not in a group..just a bunch of like minded friends on here. Feel free to add me.

Like the star block??? I had to remove that one. Did a lot of martial arts in my teens/twenties as well. Don't get me wrong..I like the Kenpo routine from a cardio perspective but I wish they included a good arm/shoulder warm up routine before starting punches. Tony warms up the legs in the warm up and then focuses on…

Agree with Brent..don't think..just do it..you know that regardless of how unmotivated you are, you will feel much better afterwards. That is the one factor that defines the difference between working out because you feel you have to versus working out because you can't NOT workout. I know...double negative there...lol
-
Hadn't thought of that but now I will...lol..

I really don't like Yoga X and have replaced it with a good cardio workout..yuck.. Had to edit this post because that didn't come across right..lol...I was whining a bit...

I typically burn around 350-450 for the strength training workouts and about 590-650 for the cardiovascular workouts. Just done with my 1st week. I am a runner so the cardiovascular parts of P90X while fun are not really, really tough for me. Best thing if you can do so is to get a heart rate monitor so that you can more…

Just shows you though that even though a lot of people say 1200 calories are not a lot of calories, if you are eating right, they really are. I normally do 1200 and then eat another 200 calories after a 500 calorie burn from exercise. I'm still at a 800-1000 calorie deficit daily at that given my current age and weight and…

Ifitness is excellent, especially if you want to see photos/videos of different exercises. Good logging tool too and much more granular than the myfitnesspal app.

Fantastic success man. A lot of hard work went into that transformation. So easy to put the pounds and so difficult to get rid of them. Good luck on the next 50 :o)

Huh?? Why do you feel this site is tailored for women?

Reminds me of when I was in the MEPs (Military Entrance Processing) center in Miami. All us guys are in shorts and made sit in these little desks. This little Japanese doctor tells everyone to hold their arm out in front of them on the desk with fists clenched knuckles faced down and tense our arms. He walks up and down…

Wow...yes..you can definitely tell the difference now. Good job man..that's great improvement for 30 days. I'm on the first week of P90X.

Was just about to post the same thing..

lol....That's awesome..

Hi there.. I'm on Day 4 of P90X and I didn't start using a HRM until Day 3. My experience to this point based on the numbers I saw last night is that on a strength training night (Chest/Back, Arms/Shoulders etc.) I'm burning 200 calories/half hour but on plyometrics, I'm burning 300/half hour. I haven't add an issue with…
