  • That is slightly funny you talk about that as a NSV. That was my latest blog post. lol http://freew67.blogspot.com/2012/08/small-victory-kentucky-speedway-2012.html
  • WoW! Well done to the both of you. http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Isnt crazy to think you used to carry that much weight on your body every single day? Congrats! You should be very proud of what you have achieved. http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Def tell the difference in your forehead! :) Great job on the rest of your body to. lol http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • I agree with what others have said. Remove all crap food from the house so when you do go on the attack the food there is only healthy chocies. I would also suggest chewing gum. The stronger the flavor the better. I found (not always) that I would spit the gum out to eat and would have to wait because the gum made the food…
  • Congrats! That is one of the little things in life some folks never think of. That is till they cant do it. Keep up the good work then! http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Im going on the S-L-O-W Down train also. Search Youtube for breathing and jogging form. Both played a huge role in me going from 10-15 mins straight to 25-30 mins straight fairly quickly. I know slow doesnt seem right but you have to start somewhere. If you like structure I also suggest C25K. http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • The reason so many folks say C25K is because your body needs a few months to get used to the beating you are putting on it. The program slowly allows your body to build up and over time just get used to it. Unless you are an active (sports related) person, C25K is the way to go. Slow and steady for the first weeks is key.…
  • I am only about 7-8 lbs away from hitting my main goal. Once I go into maintain, I still plan to keep my log well into the future. For me, its more about just making sure I stay on track and keeping me honest. Since I use the app on my droid, its not like its hard to log each day. My sister said it best, "We will prob be…
  • Mr. Mom http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Pretzels (check sodium since each brand ranges), raisins, nuts, fruit rollups are only 50 cals a pop, Reduced Fat Pringles 140 cals for 16 chips, and granola bars (chewy or crunchy). I only suggested those since they are easy to store and dont need a frig. Unless you have a fullsize frig, its not like you have a ton of…
  • I am a grad and have done 2 5K's this year. Props for getting as far as you have. You will be amazed at what you thought you couldn't do. Even if 5K's are not your goal, I feel its still worth doing one. One, you get a new tshirt lol, and two that is your C25K graduation present to yourself. Keep up the good work!…
  • I started a blog just on this, Fat to 5K! lol I wasnt a runner but I am now. I also did it for the sole purpose to help me lose weight but now I love it. I would say dream is Ironman, but long term goal could be a half Ironman. Ive only done 2 5K's so far (only jogging 4-5 months) with my best time just shy of 37 mins. Sep…
  • Huge Congrats on your multiple NSV's! Your daily MFP's must be great folks! ;) To help with not seeing it, take pics from front, side, and maybe zoom into your face. One thing I wish I would have done but I never expected to be at this over a year later. Possibly take the pics the same day each month so you can compare. Or…
  • Agree with that 100%. Form and breathing are key (Youtube is your friend). Dont be afraid to repeat days or even weeks if the next session is to much. While the program has a set number it weeks, everyone is dif. Slow and steady wins this race. When I started jogging I was in the 280's but I also could care less what…

  • Sometimes once EST wakes up, all those silly Euros and 3rd shift folks push post off the first page. Let me be the first to say it can be done! I started at 6'3 340 lbs and sitting at a nice 228 after 54 weeks in. My first goal was to just get out of the 300's and then went from there. I have 2 boys and started this at 33,…
  • My exceptions are celery and pizza. I look at it this way, if you eat it you log it. http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • If you under your cal goal, then eat something. That cals are there to eat, whenever. Its happened to me many heards of times. Even if I eat a big dinner, few hours later still a little hungary. I just always try to save a few cals for a snack at night anyways. Im just goofy like that. lol http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • What a dif, congrats! No doubt about how much hard work you have put in, just look your photos. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. Bravo! http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Hello and welcome to MFP! This is a great site with TONS of helpful folks. Im sure you will find others in the exact same boat as you. The quote above, you say you find it hard to make time. If doing it will help alleviate a bunch of symptoms, YOU MAKE THE TIME! No one can tell me they couldnt go for a 20-30 min walk each…
  • For me, there is no way without this site I would have lost the weight. Your doing great, keep up the good work! Its a long hard journey and your off to a wonderful start. http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • I was in the same boat at 33. I was a big guy but it wasnt like I had an issue playing with my kids. I didnt get tired, I could still do whatever but I was 340 lbs. What worked for me, I didnt give up stuff I loved. I sitll drink diet sodas, I still eat a few things fried, because if I wanted this change to stick, I…
  • I would suggest heading over to the Runners World forums and posting there also. Beginners forum is a very active and helpful group. http://www.runnersworld.com/community/forums/runner-communities/beginners http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Pics or it didn't happen. Thats how the internet works. :P http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Never had one so I wouldnt know. http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • I did it... What sucked was I used it as motivation to get to 100 lbs but I ended up losing 108 lbs in a year. 1 year 100 lbs just sounded better. lol http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • Congrats on your NSV and your weight loss. Both are big deals and you should be very proud of what you have done. http://freew67.blogspot.com/
  • First congrats, big changes there. 2nd, you could be Cedric the Entertainer younger better looking brother. :) As for the running, I am a noob myself. With how short a 5K race is, if you drink plenty before (night before even) the race you should be well hydrated for the race. Most races will have a water stop around…
  • That was my question, is there even a copyright on it? If not, whats the laws on that.
