  • Oh I thought of another one..... Guy I am seeing: *Taco Bell Drive through* " So what are you getting, a lettuce salad?" Comments like that bug me too, I know he was kidding, that's how we joke around...But still. If it was anyone else, I woulda been really pissed!
  • You have a ring on your finger
  • That's a good point! Never thought about that. So in that case, I will definitely shoot for 200lbs tomorrow. And technically, I should be able to do about 240 lbs on that thing. Ill eventually work up to that lol. I'm sure I can do it though!
  • Haha that's what I thought, but it seemed like a lot. That's what's up though!
  • I'm confused, according to the recipe, 4-6 pancakes is one serving?
  • 689 calories. Seems like a lot, but my dinners are usually higher in calories than other meals.
  • I LOVE the laughing cow cheese! SO good...the tomato basil one is pretty good too. Your dinner sounds great too, enjoy! :)
  • Yeah, I know what you mean. I usually get a chicken sandwich no mayo or something like that. He always jokes around with me like "oh what are you going to get, a cucumber sandwich?" or "what you going to get, a lettuce salad??" We joke around with each other like that, it's how we are. He means no harm :) But anyway, He is…
  • Thank you ALL for the wonderful words! If it weren't for you all on here, I don't know where I would be :) Thanks again, tons!
  • Iv'e gotten that way too except I was holding back tears walking to my car AFTER my workout was finished. I have no idea why! lol
  • yes...I would say so!!! :) lol
  • Actually, my mom lost 50 lbs a long time ago. So she does know what it's like to be overweight. But she was never my size...I can't believe I'm actually doing this...that should be enough for her because I never even stuck to a diet more than a week in my past...
  • Thank you for the thoughtful response. I have a ton of supportive people that in my life. You MFP'ers included!! :) I also carry my weight very well. It's all in my boobs. My friend's jaw dropped when I told her my starting weight was 276. She refused to believe me. She still doesn't believe that my current weight is 242.6…
  • Omg! My mom was the same way when I was growing up! I have been overweight my whole life and she ALWAYS tried to get me to diet and lose weight. But when I look back on pictures i want to cry because I realized how good i looked back then. 150 pounds is NOT fat! (On my body anyway) I totally understand what you're talking…
  • Oh no!! You said the "S" word!!! lol. I don't miss the snow, I'm dreading it!
  • Hey!! Welcome and good luck on your journey! There are SOOO many supportive people on here. If it wasn't for my MFP friends, I would have given up a long time ago. Oh and by the way, I am also from Ohio (Cleveland area) Feel free to add me if you would like :)
  • Omg I agree! Sorry for the TMI, but ever since i ate that chicken parm, I have gone to the bathroom more times in one day than EVER before! My body is not used to the oil it was fried in and the real butter on the garlic bread. God it was worth it though :)
  • I agree!!! I think people just need to stop telling other people what they should and should not eat. I know what I can eat, and how much of it. The only time I really want someone's input is if I ask. I don't mind someone suggesting something once in a while, but if someone looked at my diary and told me I shouldn't eat…
  • Well yeah usually I log every single thing i put in my mouth. i weigh EVERYTHING. My mom calls me anal because she always sees me scanning bar codes, weighing stuff and logging everything. But yesterday, the stuff on the menu at work was chicken parm (homemade too!!!) and I just had a F*** it attitude. I felt like i…
  • I looked even further back into your diary and I noticed that you have been eating a lot of fast food and going out to dinner a lot. That is probably the reason the scale isn't moving. Going out to eat once in a while is fine, but not as much as I saw it on your diary. There is so much sodium in fast food. It's really not…
  • I looked at your diary for the past couple weeks. I noticed one some of the days, you had a TON of sodium. Too much sodium can make you retain water making it seem like you have not lost any weight. I was eating a lot of sodium for the first month I started this and i always found myself gaining and losing weight every…
  • OMG! I KNOW! It makes me want to vomit too. Or punch something. ugh!
  • A fat day per week!? Oh man, I don't think I am at that level yet. I'm scared I would fall back into my old habits. I definitely allow myself a treat about once a week, but I make sure I stay within my calories. I laugh when people totally deprive themselves of anything. Dude, I have eaten cake, pie, Chipotle, ice cream…
  • Oh yeah, that's how I was! I was having a lot of trouble reaching 1400, and sometimes 1200 calories per day. It's because you aren't used to it yet and are more aware of what you are eating because you are logging it. You will get over it. In the beginning, I used to feel sick if I ate all my calories! Not anymore though…
  • Thank you, I mean I guess some people would. I don't. I'm glad you don't either! :) Yes, DD is more politically correct and up to date, but I think MH is fine too. That's just my opinion. I did not use the "R" word, and I never would use that word to describe my residents! They are amazing and I could never say that!!! :)
  • Yes, they changed it. When i first started working at my job, it was "G***** County Board of Mental retardation/Developmental disabilities" They dropped the MR and kept the "developmental disabilities" And in no way am I saying my residents are unable to do anything in any kind of way. Yes they have delays but they go out…
  • YES! everyone needs one day....it's good for you. As long as you don't over do it. I don't know how i did this everyday though. Honestly. I could never do that kinda thing every day now! yuck! Anyway, Yes I absolutely love my job despite the stress factors. We don't really have any neurological disorders where I work…
  • Today is actually the first time I went over by A LOT. Very rarely I will go over maybe by 50 calories. If I want a treat, I will make sure I am within my caloric range. But today, I just felt the need.... lol.
  • I have had my health o meter for over a year. I love it. It's very accurate. Gives me the same weight as my dr's scale.
  • Watch the sodium! If they have over 250 mg of sodium in them, I wouldn't buy them. If the sodium is low, then I would say they would be ok as long as you eat the serving size :)
