Hi! I'm Dwan, and I just hit 40 this month. I'm long married with three boys. We live in NW Florida, where I work as a bookmonger at a venerable (for around here) bookstore in a town called Seaside. (This town is where the movie The Truman Show was filmed.) I've decided enough is enough, it's time to get the weight off,…

Well, I'm WAY behind you, but headed that way, slowly. I'd be happy to cheerlead, too. ^_^ And best of luck, regardless!!

It's been a super hectic coupla weeks. Hanging in there.

Right on!

We're at the same point - I started out at about 220 and I'm 206 now. For myself, I love it. Friendly, supportive, easy to use. Glad you're here -- feel free to send a friend request if you could use a bud on here!

Right on! Go for it - the food's tasty and super healthy!

Awesome! Sending you a friend request, but in the meantime, best of luck!!

Friends and challenges have done me a lot of good. ^_^

I love it too!

Alright! I love it, Tazzy! I'm there - I'm going to make this happen!!! Starting weight is 208, and I'm working on my hips, which are at 48.5" !!!
-
I am amazed by you all! Woo-hoo!!!

Adjusting to some changes in my life took more work than I thought, but I did stick with it, even though I didn't make it here. It was a very enlightening experience. Currently: Weight: 208 - down 6 lbs Measurements: Chest: 44.5 (-.5) Waist: 40.5 (-.5) Thigh: 27 (-.5) Hips: 48.5 (-1.5) Down 3" [/quote] I know I could have…

Right on, looks good - I look forward to it. Last week was hard for me to keep up with. Hopefully this week will be at a more even keel, ya know?
-
Whew - busy school weeks and preprepped foods of various sorts = a real challenge with sodium. Working on it, though!
-
Trying this again, with measurements! Sorry I didn't post last week. Crazy brain draining coupla weeks here. Alright: Currently: Weight: 209 - down 5 lbs Measurements: Chest: 45 (0) Waist: 40.5 (-.5) Thigh: 27 (-.5) Hips: 49 (-1) Down 2" Gotta keep on keeping on!!

No great answers, just wanted to say this is such an interesting topic to me, and really pertinent this week, lol! I'm definitely struggling a bit.

I'm sorry I didn't post when I should have. Total mind blip. ;p I was looking at this - I didn't change my starting weight when I copied someone else's example. My correct starting weight should have been 214. As of today I'm at 209. I am eating a lot of my calories back. In my (previous WW weightloss) experience my weight…

This has been so true for me. I've been struggling with time this month, and the fallbacks I tend to use to make sure I have low-cal, good protein choices have proven to be a sodium issue! I'm learning a lot!
-
Totally down with that, sent a friend request!

Well, I guess there's the old standbys - mac n cheez, a nice robust spaghetti sauce and pasta. I had a great meal of quinoa, kale and dried cranberries the other day - steamed em up together. Hmm - have to think about it..... In any case, I think it's awesome that you are trying to get ahead of the game - great idea!
