  • I have never tried but would be fairly sure you are right and they would not be suitable for freezing! Would probably defrost as mush
  • I am sorry if I sound harsh but I seriously struggle to believe that multiple people are persisting in calling a 5'3" 112lb girl fat. That generally doesn't happen often, even to fat people. I think perhaps you need to speak to someone about self-esteem issues. Good luck
  • The HRM sounds closer to the mark to me. I always think 100 - 120 cals per 10 mins is a reasonable guesstimate for running. of course it depends on how fast you run and what you weigh
  • This is truly a great idea. I might go post something similar just so I will have something to pin to my cupboard!
  • Does anyone know how to translate this recipe into UK measurements?! I will never understand the "cup" concept!
  • have you tried the Atkins MIM ( muffin in a minute)? It is made from milled flax-seed and is basically a low-carb bread that you can make in the microwave in a couple of minutes. Is delicious, low-carb and high fibre. I love it! Google Atkins MIM for the recipe
  • You can buy it in Tesco or else Holland and Barrett. You certainly don't need to eat it raw. Have you bought the book? Dukan recommends you make a daily pancake type thing with it, called a galette. PS - I tried the Dukan - -it was torture and I quit. Low carb is one thing but low carb and low fat??! There is no doubt that…
  • Ok - thanks. Will do
  • You could be right. The pain is in that dip at the back of the head where it becomes softer, so I imagine there could be muscles in there that I have managed to strain in some way. Just need to rest up, which is frustrating. Had hoped to find someone else on here with a similar experience!
  • Thanks for the concern but am pretty sure it is some kind of weird muscle strain only! Just in a weird place
  • Anyone else any thoughts?
  • The pain definitely is not in my neck though; it is the base of my skull. Do you think that could still be related? It is weird as I had no pain in between
  • I think we have similar taste! A few other of my favourites for running: David Guetta ft Kelly Rowland - When love takes over David Guetta - Titanium Nadia Ali - Rapture Stonebridge - Put en High Rhianna ft Calvin Harris - We found love When I am in a rockier mood: Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus Muse - Supermassive Black…
  • Swedish House Mafia - Greyhound. Amazing running track Also- Example - Changed the Way you Kissed Me
  • Ummm......... I hate to break it to you but not everything a woman does is motivated by attracting men. Are you still standing or did you pass out in shock?!! At no point did the OP mention or refer to wishing for a thigh gap to appeal to the opposite sex. Has it occurred to you that just maybe this is something she wants…
  • Yeah but I think in this situation, re-establishing a normal relationship with food and viewing it as that - just food - is priority. One of the key points McKenna makes is that, whilst you think that if you tell people they can eat whatever they want they will live on pizza and chips indefinitely, in reality they don't.…
  • I totally relate to this; you have basically described my life, losing sight of what a "normal" diet looks like. Instead either being really really "good" and denying yourself all the foods you enjoy because you feel you should, or hurtling off the wagon and eating all the "bad" stuff you can lay your hands on, almost in a…
  • What was the rumour about British Knight shoes??
  • Only you can tell if it is enough. If you enjoyed eating it, felt satisfied when you finished eating it and were not hungry again 2 hrs later then probably yes, it was enough!
  • Ok in what way?! It is slightly unclear what you are asking..... Did you enjoy eating it? That to me is usually a good barometer. If you did, then yes, it is an ok meal!
  • Absolutely! I think I am at a stage in my life where I think I am 37 years old and I'm not going to change so I need to learn to stop working against myself and get realistic! Develop a way of eating that I can stick to forever and stop kidding myself that I will learn to live without sweet treats; I never have in the past…
  • I hear ya! I think what I am searching for is a happy medium - that ability to enjoy sweet things in moderation - and I still haven't found it. I probably never will :-(
  • It's not cheating if you are honest about it. Eating over your calories one day is certainly not cheating. Failing to log what you have eaten, however, is cheating IMO as you are not making yourself accountable
  • Thanks for this but I think you are missing my point slightly. I am not asking for suggestions on how to cut down. I can assure you an elastic band/ clip will not keep me out of a bag of M+Ms!!!! I simply would never keep sweet stuff in my house; if I want it I will go and get it and enough for immediate consumption only.…
  • Stress!! That is a great description. I am utterly bored of thinking about food ALL THE TIME! It is stressful. I think for certain people (of which I am one) denying yourself leads to binges. If you want something, have it, as long as it is in moderation and within your calorie goals. I am slightly too familiar with that…
  • I am more than happy to take the advice of someone who has lost 60kg!! Wow... This is exactly what I am talking about! Using treats as an incentive to exercise to me is a lot more productive than not exercising at all. Eating 100% healthy and clean I simply would not need more than 1300 or so cals a day, so would therefore…
  • Yes but I suppose what I am asking is what is the problem with eating it every day, if it fits within your calories? Is there any harm in it provided you eat well the rest of the day (which I do). Why deny yourself? I think for me, I am not a natural lover of exercise. It does not come easily to me and i have to kinda…
