  • What state are you in? In Texas, it's law that the spouse responsible for child support has their wages garnished...check and see if that is the case in your state by contacting the attorney general. I understand your frustration...been there, done that, still dealing with it a year after the divorce is final. If I can…
  • I'm 5'7" and started at 202. I started at the beginning of August. I'm currently at 149 with 14-18 more to go till I reach my goal. Add me if you'd like! :)
  • *bump :)
  • Definitely sounds like a disc issue-similar to what I went through with a herniated disc. A doctor is a must if you are going to get any relief. Have you seen anyone in the past for this (you did say it's happened before right?)?
  • Yup, lots of us here. It's very common. However, if your meds are correct and your blood work is showing that you are now functioning within normal range you shouldn't have a problem losing weight if you are eating right and exercising enough. I've had hypothyroid for almost 16 years, and blamed it for a long time as the…
  • Oh she is a cutie! I know no dog will ever take Mayer's place, and like with people you never love more...you love differently. I grieved my Timber for so long, but I love my Sophie girl just as much-just differently! Good luck! Keep us posted on how things go!
  • Thanks for this link...I went to it and did the calculations and my "increased" calories that I'm eating just by listening to my body fall within the range recommended for "extreme fat loss" and "fat loss". I guess there is something to be said for listening...
  • It's posts like these that making me do what I'm doing...listening to my body. I've lost almost 50 pounds since August and around Christmas the loss slowed down-but I think that is due to holiday snacking! Anyhow, when I went back to work in January I noticed that my daily intake was several hundred higher than it had been…
  • That's wonderful! Keep it up!!!!!
  • When I started on the elliptical I could only manage 2-3 minutes. Perfectly normal-you'll get there...don't give up!
  • Here's a link to the actual tracker: http://www.noradsanta.org/en/ The kids have great fun with this on Christmas Eve! (even my 15 year old!)
  • I use "Midnight" that I buy at Walmart. It's natural and doesn't leave you with a drugged feeling in the morning. While it won't knock you out into a comatose state, it will hopefully allow you to rest as it did me! Good luck!
  • I average 9-12 cups a day...it's a habit, it's all I drink, and it makes me feel wonderful. I found that I have to use the same glass throughout the day and have some way to mark how many times I've refilled/emptied it. I've used rubber bands at the top of the glass that holds 1.5 cups and I move one rubber band down every…
  • I'm right there with ya-except kinda reversed!! I started gaining weight when we began dating almost 20 years ago and reached my max as a result of the stress he was creating in our marriage. As soon as he left and I got the divorce over with my weight has started coming of easily (well-relatively because I do have to work…
  • Check these out... http://www.easylunchboxes.com/products/order_now.htm I don't have them personally, but they might be worth considering.
  • LOL-thank you! That was the perspective I needed to knock me back to my senses. I was planning on coming home and doing the last half of my workout but I'm still feeling pretty yucky (bad is not the right word...just yucky and wiped out) so we will have to see what the evening holds. Thanks again!
  • Could it be asthma? My son coughs during extreme workouts and he's asthmatic, I also went through a bout like this and the doctors put me on inhalers. It's definitely something you should look into though...I say a trip back to the dr. is warranted!
  • It's a start and that's what matters! When I first started on the elliptical I could only go 2 minutes as well. Now I can go 90 without any problem. You'll get there too...just don't give up!
  • I'm a city girl with a country heart. I love the conveniences of living in the city-but I do treasure my 2-4 weeks out in the country every summer. So for me...a little of both!
  • Yes, but what a wonderful problem to have! Congrats!

  • It's a Jillian Michaels workout DVD and it is tough! Not in the sense that you can't make it though the workout-it progresses in levels. I did it for the first time last Sunday and am finally able to walk without groaning today! Didn't know I even had muscles there...and there...and oh, by the way there too! LOL!
  • I USED to be one of the women...until I found out how many calories are in those salads! YIKES!!!! Why don't they just get the bacon cheeseburger and enjoy themselves like I do now????? For me it's when people spout off like they know everything. As I listen to them knowing they are wrong and wondering why in the world…
  • I never used to get one until about 4 years ago...now I get it as soon as I can. Why? A friend died from the flu, my son and I both have asthma, and I don't ever care to repeat the experience of having H1N1-that was awful!
  • The "skinny you who keeps running away from you" wants you to chase her! Go for it girl and don't give up!
  • I've burnt 1100ish in one day by doing 14 miles total walking/elliptical machine. Takes me about 2 hours to burn that much. I only manage that on the weekends, during the week I average around 6-700 burned a day and I do not eat all of them back.
  • I felt the same way using map my run but since I found the iphone app for that site it's all changed! The app maps the run for you as you go...<3 it!
  • Are you tracking your calories? I went through the same thing...thought I was eating well, thought I was exercising enough, and soooo frustrated that I couldn't lose any weight. My dr. told me "you're eating too much". And I said "No I don't think so". His reply: "Trust me, try counting your calories..." And I did, and it…
  • You can do it. One step at a time. One pound at a time. And one nutritious bite at a time. Believe in yourself...because everyone here will believe in you too!
  • I weigh in daily (keeps me on target) but only post every few days. No clothes, after the bathroom, before breakfast.
