My two cents... I had been stuck at a certain weight, trying to lose my last 2 pounds while eating roughly 1200 calories per day. Less than a week after increasing my calories to 1560, I lost those two pounds. I'm not saying that you can't lose weight by eating 1200 calories per day; obviously, if you're burning more than…

Isn't that your ultimate goal? To look and feel better? Screw the scale! There have been days I've thought I looked thinner, but the scale disagreed. If you're looking better, that's all that should matter!

I started at about 132-135 and am now 127-128... ultimate goal weight is 125-120! I welcome anyone to add me as support. I know we all need it for those last few pounds!

Think Thin bars are good too! They're relatively low in sugar and carbs and are high in protein (if you get their protein bar). Also, Larabars are vegan, non-dairy, and gluten free bars that are pretty tasty too.

Thank you for posting this! I have become way to reliant on what the scale tells me and less on my overall results. I know that even though I've only lost 4 pounds since November that overall I feel and look so much better. Some of my MFP friends and myself have vowed to only weigh on Friday's. We're starting that regimen…

I check my resting heart rate before I run and I stop it when I reach back to my resting heart rate.

I think it depends on how intense the workout is. I can burn 300-400 calories in 30 minutes or in 1 hour depending on what I'm doing. I can walk at 4.0 mph for an hour and burn maybe 300 calories, or I can do a 20 minute workout of 30 Day Shred and burn the same. Just be sure no matter how long you're working out that you…

I eat eggs almost every morning, but if I'm in a hurry I fix a protein shake! I use Jillian Michael's Chocolate Protein Shake with a tablespoon of Better'n Peanut Butter. I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk to cut the calories a little bit and add 3-4 ice cubes. But typically I eat 1 cup of egg beaters and turkey bacon…

I agree that you need to put your actual weight and not one that is higher. It will most likely put you in starvation mode since it's limiting you to so few calories, and you could possibly experience weight GAIN if that happens. I do, however, understand the frustration with logging all your exercises when they don't have…

I'm right there with you. I got on MFP initially to cut my carb intake because I realized I'd have cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and pasta for dinner every day... carbs carbs carbs! Try Mission brand Carb Balance whole wheat tortillas! They come in large, medium, and small. I get the small ones (13 carbs…

I'm having cottage cheese for lunch! It's very versitile! I've thought about blending it up and using it in lasagna instead of riccotta cheese. I've heard of people putting it in smoothies... that doesn't sound great to me but who knows, maybe I'll try it out and eat my words (literally).

I'm 5' 6" and at 129.5 pounds. My calorie goal is set at 1580 with a lightly active lifestyle and goal of 1/2 pound loss per week. I try to eat at least half of my workout calories, so I could eat up to 1800 calories a day. I might change it back to 1 pound loss with cals at 1330, but my net calories per day were so low…
