  • Hey, everyone! From the last time I logged my weight on here on the discussion board (two weeks ago) until now, I've lost 4 pounds! Start of challenge (again, started 2 weeks ago): 158.00 lbs Now: 154.00 lbs Total of 16lbs altogether, if going by the scales at the doctor (which, I think was wrong, but whatever). Not gonna…
  • I'm a little late to this challenge, but thought I'd hop on board anyway to try to stay motivated. Starting weight on MFP: 167 Current weight (as of yesterday): 158 Here's to hoping I can stick with it!
  • I'm so glad you posted this!! I've had a similar issue where I've not ran in about 3 months either and wondered where I should start back at. I thought I would start completely over, and I ran the first day and thought, "man this is too easy..." So, I think I'm going to move up to a week with the "longer running times" and…
  • Good luck! You're going to love it!
  • I would repeat one more time, just to be safe. Even though it may not feel like progress, you're still building yourself up. But, if you feel comfortable, you could always try the next workout and drop back down a day, if need be.
  • Start out slow. Like, so slow that it feels like a turtle could pass you by if it tried real hard. And when you think you can't finish an interval, realize that's just your head talking. You CAN do it!
  • Congratulations!! If all works as planned (and if the rain would hold off until I get finished running...) I should be finishing up c25k next Saturday! All of your tips are spot on, though! When you think you can't do it, remember why you started! I am planning on jumping straight into the Bridge to 10K. Anyone else doing…
  • Hey, guys! Count me in, too. Is there some kind of group board or something for this? I've been on MFP for ever it seems like. Used it on and off and am just now discovering the gold mine I like to call the message board!
  • Again, thanks for answering everyone!! The swelling has FINALLY gone down! (Cue the happy dance!). And I was finally able to get back to running this past Saturday. Thanks for all the advice!
  • This. When I first started back in July, I thought a herd of turtles through peanut butter could probably run faster than me. But, I kept remembering everyone's advice to go slow and it definitely helped. Don't give up just yet! I've NEVER been a runner, but now I want to run all the time.
  • Thanks for your responses, guys! I stilllll haven't been able to run yet :( Still swelling and still sore. I'm been keeping a brace on it and elevating it when possible. Any idea how long this usually takes to go away? It. Is. Slowly. Killing. Me. Pretty sure, haha.
  • Haha, yeah, that's nothing new. I'll go home when I get off work and actually have an excuse to nap while I ice it ;) Thanks for answering! I tell ya, though, when a doctor says you'll need blood work and then you look up the test he was talking about on WebMd.... That's enough to give anyone heart palpitations!
  • Yep, nothing was out of the ordinary...
  • Thanks, y'all! I'm hoping I can make it as far as you all have! :D
  • I used the C25K free app (it's got the breast cancer awareness sign in the corner) and it worked really well! Of course, I didn't have music playing, because I was running up and down my driveway and the wifi doesn't reach that far for Pandora... :-/ Yesterday went really well, actually! I'm only slightly sore from it.…
