C25K is awesome!!!! I completed it about 7 years ago and it showed me I do like running. Even though I've fallen off the wagon several times; I always come back to the things I learned with the program.

    Congrats and keep going!

  • Congratulations!! If all works as planned (and if the rain would hold off until I get finished running...) I should be finishing up c25k next Saturday! All of your tips are spot on, though! When you think you can't do it, remember why you started!

I am planning on jumping straight into the Bridge to 10K. Anyone else doing this?

Thank you so much for your post! I have downloaded it and at first tried to be faithful to it. I WANT to become a runner so badly, but I HATE RUNNING! I have been stuck on Week 5 Day 2 for a few weeks now...only because I know that Week 5 Day 3 is going to be so hard! I can walk 4-6 miles a day ranging from 3.8 - 4.1 pace. I should be able to handle this running thing, but I just dread it  Will I ever learn to LOVE it?!?

This is one of my favorite posts I've ever read on MFP. I ACTUALLY (no lie, no exaggeration) want to try C25K now.

I just downloaded and did my week 1 day one workout today lol. I am not a runner, I love the idea of it though, but I have knee problems and asthma, so we don't mix well. So I will be doing mine on the elliptical, but that's ok, because I'm doing it! Thanks for the encouragement, it was perfectly timed for me lol

O.p. congratulations on finishing the C25K!! I've done it before but have fallen off the fitness wagon :( . I am actually starting over on the program today and looking forward to it. Hopefully I will be able to finish outdoors before winter hits; otherwise treadmill here I come (but I HATE treadmills lol).

@craziwrld.....I also have exercise induced asthma and knee problems. I use my inhaler before every run and I either use a knee brace or kiniseology tape for my knee....or both. My knee has been really bad this summer so when I go out today I believe I'll be doubling up on the support for safety sake. Good luck to you!
