Your diary looks pretty good to me! I actually think you're better off to stay the course as you are, and expect smaller but steady weight loss. Losing even 2 pounds a week is a lot, and can be hard to sustain. And given natural weight fluctuations that we all have, smaller gains can be hard to see if you weigh yourself…

For faster food, Chipotle. I get a chicken bowl ( no tortilla), just a little rice, black beans, and medium salsa. No cheese, sour cream or guac. I like that they will let you subtract anything. And they'll always give me extra salsa. Sometimes I have them add the corn salsa on the side to increase my veggies for the day.…

Only bananas. I can eat tons of beans no problem, but a half a raw banana KILLS me.

I can only see one day (wed Aug 15th) in your food diary. I know today may not have been like other days, but one thing you might try to do to not feel hungry is eat more protein. MFP sets protein levels pretty low. I've been trying to eat 70-120 grams of protein a day, usually hitting about 90, and have both felt less…

Around here, italian style tuna is made with olive oil and vinegar rather than with mayo. I find I like it best without the olive oil, and just some balsamic vinegar and cracked pepper. I've also tried just lemon juice, but I can handle really sour stuff ;). My new FAVORITE is mixing in a tablespoon or so of Trader Joe's…

I have very large calves, nearly 17" at their largest point, but all muscle. I never minded the calves themselves, but hated not being able to find boots that fit. My friend who is a dancer with large (but not as large as me) calves told me about some boots made by Aerosoles that fit. Not all, but some of the Aerosoles…

i TOTALLY agree. Most of us don't think we look as good naked as we do in clothes. Heck, even supermodel photos are retouched because they don't look perfect, so don't feel bad. To us, who see you dressed, you lot HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should be so proud. It's hard to lose 91 lbs. Enjoy what you have worked so hard to…

A f ew tips about plain yogurt. I've noticed that, at least in the nongreek kind, many of the plain yogurts have pectin in them, which make them taste MORE sour. Look for a brand without it. In my experience they store brands tend NOT to have it, and taste less sour. Among the greek yogurts, I find Fage to taste less sour…

^This! I've been making chicken breasts and a peanut sauce that's mostly peanut butter with a little soy sauce and maple syrup to dip it in and make it taste better. I love Trader Joes's "just a handful of almonds" because they are portioned out and I can easily keep them with me for a snack. Also, I make a lot of greek…

I weird, but I LOVE vegetables. But I get lazy about cooking them, and they can be hard to find, beyond a salad, when you eat out/on the run a lot like I do. There's a farmer's market at my work in the summer, so it's easier for me to get veggies then, and I figured out how to cook corn on the cob in the microwave, and…

Just an aside - I too have large calves, but finally found knee high boots that fit, and they are comfortable. Aerosoles makes some of their boots with an extra zipper that you can zip down to make extra room for your calves. I now have 4 different pairs, and all the girls in my office have one of the same pairs because…

I am almost 5'10. After I had the flu a few years ago, I lost 10 lbs and kept it off for about 2 years, then gained it back after a trip to Vegas and too much eating out with my new BF. I'd like to get back down to 165lbs, at which point I am about a size 8. I am technically a large frame, but just barely. When I first…

We have a soda stream, so sometimes I make carbonated water, which is especially good with lemon or lime. The other day I made a sort of lemonade, with the juice from one lemon and the carbonated water. I like sour things so I didn't put in a sweetener, but you could use a small amount of honey or agave if you wanted to…

You have GOT to eat at least 1200 NET or you are going to be in trouble. You should either eat back your exercise calories, or look at the group called Eat More to Weigh Less to learn more about alternatively calculating your TDEE - 15% as your target calories for the day. TDEE takes into account your exercise level on…

for truly on the go, I agree with both baby carrots and sugar snap peas. I eat them without anything extra, but they are both also really good with a ginger miso dressing (they carry one at Whole Foods, or you could make one). I also find cucumber slices easy to bring with me. And celery with peanut butter is yummy too. i…

i heard these are delicious frozen, and this helps them keep. Especially refreshing on a hot day. I know it sounds weird, but they were really good when my friend gave me some frozen grapes at her house.

Thank you. This is helpful!

I understand your reluctance to get into the pool, but let me try to encourage you! I go at work, where everyone else in the class is someone I work with that I can run into another time. Many of the people in my class are quite large ladies, but they come every time and really enjoy themselves. Because they seem so…

Thanks for explaining.

PS- you can change which nutrients MFP displays. I added in sugar and sodium, and have found that really helpful. Their recommendation for sugar is only 30 grams per day, which I hit easily due to the sugar in dairy (I eat a lot of milk and greek yogurt), bread, and occasional reeses pieces, and fruit puts me over, but I…

Totally agree. Eat a lot more protein, and try to cut back on the carbs, especially the sugar. Even though you are eating desssert bars, etc with fiber, they are still dessert. You have several "sweets" items per day. Almonds are a good source of protein, as are lean chicken breasts. Purdue sells perfect portion chicken…

Thanks for sharing this. My doctor hasn't mentioned insoles, but i wonder if they'd help me. I'll look into it!

I have knees that get sore from impact because the knee cap slides out of the slot. I love Zumba but can't do a lot of the jumping. I started Aqua AeroBics (aka water aerobics, or aqua zumba would be ok too). Originally, I thought it would be good because the water reduces the impact on the knees, which is true. But the…

Ooh. I love to share shopping tips. First, New York and Co has a long size that they sell in the store that is very long. I am 5"10, and have to wear high heels to keep them from dragging on the floor, Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy all sell lots of tall sizes online that they don't carry in their stores. Dresses are…

About 10 years ago, I found out it was sugar that was making me feel terrible. I tried to stip eating it altogether all at once, but it's HARD to cut so much out of your diet all at once. But, it was made easier because when I did eat it I felt yucky, and I started to realize the sweet taste wasn't worth the yucky feeling.…

I'm 5''10 amd started out at 180. Trying to get to 165 and have lost 6 pounds in a month. I've slowed my weight loss when I look at the scale in the last week and a half, but I think this is because I am gaining muscle, which weighs more. My clothes keep getting looser! Not sure how some of you girls taller than me hope to…

You can definitely see it in your legs and arms especially. I'm kind of the same as you - 6 lbs in 4 weeks, although very little change in the last two weeks on the scale, but my legs are like new legs! I have muscles there I've never seen before! just keep at it. And remember that your body is healthier no matter what the…

I have mine set to 1lb a week but have lost 2 lbs each of the past two weeks. I am supposed to eat 1500 calories at 1lb a week, but find it hard to do that. 1700-1800 is more my speed so I don't get cranky. But I've been finding that when I do cardio, and "eat" my exercise calories, that I still only need to eat 1700-1800…
