That's it just say to your self, SELF I'm starting back…
  • Well,I had a great weekend, but it was crushed Monday morning when I got on the scale,I'm just now bringing myself to even talk about it.I litterally just lost my mind I guess,I ate what I felt were small portions, but probably weren't ,I drank enough to sink a battle ship.Like I said it was a great weekend, but not really…

  • OMG I'm starvin ! I ran a 6.5 mile cardio competition on the treadmill last night after work and it kicked my *kitten*.That said I didn't get to the gym this morning and so when I counted in the 10 beers I'm planning tonight it didn't leave much room for food today.I had plain old oatmeal for breakfast and a lean cuisine…

  • The HIIT does burn more calories, but it's usually after the actual exercise,I can tell you that I burned 1058 based on my HRM from a 1 hour 6 mile run,I was basically doing HIIT through out.but I only counted the calories burned during the time on the run. Hope this helps! The HRM are really a fantastic investment!
  • I will,thanks for the tip!
  • haven't tried that one,I tried the ultra and didn't like it,how many calories are in the Amber?
  • I tried the MGd 64,not bad tasting, but I could drink like 20 and not have a buz,and my stomach was so full I could hear it sloshing when I walked.Miller Lite has and is my drink of choice, only 96 calories.
  • you gotta have aiming fluid for golf! I'm super competative, and unlike a bunch of dudes I play with, who actually get better with every beer,I get much worse,so I generally wait till at least hole 9 to open the first beer.
  • I believe I definitely fall into this catagory,I am a professional drinker, and I have through numerous experiments figured out what works for me.I totally agree that it is much slower loosing the weight because of our life style, but as everyone says this is not a diet,it is a life style change.I did have to change my…

  • I bet a paycheck you aren't eating enough considering your training routine, you should really try eating back most of your exercise cals.
  • Yup ,take measurements and pics, get you a front and side shot wear same clothes. Are you exercising? If you are feeling better in your clothes you are right on course,I've been doing it for twoo months and had several weeks with no weight loss, but on the monthly checks I lost 2 inches in my waist both months.
  • Yeah that rooster crows early at my house, kudos to you for doing something for yourself first of all.I go to bed around 9:00pm,because I'm tired by then,I still lay there and watch TV or read for about an hour so sleep by ten usually.Once you get in the habit with this it will be routine.I've tried it every which way and…
  • Thanks again, sounds like you would encourage muscle confusion as well as training fast and slow twitch during same session, also sounds like you may change the routine as much as weekly. This is very interesting,I'm going to play with it a bit next couple of weeks,I'll let you know how it goes, and again thank you so much,I…
  • I get up at 4:45 am 5 days a week, and hve been doing it for years, same reasons as you, otherwise life gets in the way.You have to first of all consider it a priority, just like brushing your teeth or taking a shower,it has to be done, second you have to organize your self, set you clothes and shoes out,set the coffee pot, etc…
  • good for you to even want to do this for your husband, yeah just watch as much as possible, catch Sports Center on ESPN dailey, and ask questions but wait for the comercials to ask questions lol:wink:
  • Again very helpful,I was hoping you would respond on this.I really only used bench press as an example, while overall strength is important to me,weight loss currently is more important. It would be nice to know that once I've lost the weight I want to loose that it won't be too hard to get back to my then strength level.I…
  • Yup ,Chicken ,lean beef ,turkey, whey protein almost any brand ,eggs , eggs ,eggs.
  • Thank you kind sir and Ice Princess, Very helpful! I've experienced strength issues before, but not so much from the loss of a significant amount of body weight.I'm thinking in order to get back to a happy medium I will go heavy for a month or so including my cardio, then maybe go high rep low weight for a month or so,any…
  • I appreciate it,were the able to gain the strength they lost back?
  • If you're lifting hard and heavy, you can go as much as 1.5 g per lb of body weight, the arguments you'll hear is that it is 1 to 1.5 g per lb of muscle, and not body weight, but you'll piss out the extra, make sure you're drinking lots of water.
  • Friday check in for July 4th. I weighed in on a different scale then I have used in the past today, the different scale said 210,but I think that is just wishful thinking so I'm only going to claim 212 just to be on the safe side. Age:43 Hieght :5'8 start : 238 Current : 212 week loss :1lb. total loss : 26 lbs. start…
