working through those behaviour problems seems to be the hardest part for sure - I love the avalanche/snow ball analogy. I was starting to think that I must be crazy but thats just another example of my extreme thoughts! I will sign up for the moodgym and see how it goes. Thanks for all your comments :)

veggies or fruit. I've eaten thousands of calories in grains and never gotten satisfied the same as eating an apple or a big salad - strange but true, my stomach can be distended and still I want to eat. But veggies/fruit really hits the spot. I think its nutrients we need not really calories as such.

I've played guitar for 19 years, Saxophone for 23 years, Piano for 8 years although I've dabbled in piano for 20+ years. I'm now studying for advanced performance in piano and teach, music theory piano and saxophone. I love teaching and playing - I don't really have any desires to go pro though. I would like to go to uni…

I think this is why I have seen little results from my weight training workouts. I am always in calorie deficit to lose fat. I think my weight training workouts simply stop me from losing too much muscle while in deficit.

Something I've learned over the years... weight loss is free. You just need to put the work in. You don't need a gym, meal replacements or equipment. You just need the desire and commitment to change and that is free.

When I binge I'm in a panic -I'm not sure if its blood sugar or guilt that drives me to eating way too much. When I was heaviest I could easily eat 3000 calories in one sitting. low blood sugar is usually the trigger - but why do I continue to eat well after that? Guilt, deprivation? My reasons for not bingeing:- Food does…

This is why I don't watch tv. I feel a lot happier with myself now I don't. I won't ever be perfect - but neither are those people on tv, they are caked with makeup wear body stockings for body shots and use body doubles.

instead of nutella which is packed with sugar try hazelnut butter - it is basically nutella without the sugar and without the chocolate - but you can add a bit of cocoa powder and it becomes a really healthy delicious nutella!

a man has to walk a mile and a woman has to run? I heard that a mile whether walked or run burns the same calories, just that running burns it in a shorter amount of time. I guess the woman is in a rush to get them calories burned! lol

You could add 1 tbsp of oil instead of 3. You could also add some chopped olives for flavour.

We have just had our first few eggs from our new chickens today. My hubby is eating them. I love eggs, I recently learnt how to cook the japanese rolled omelet (don't ask me to spell it, I really don't know!) its beaten eggs with soy sauce and you gradually cook the egg adding spinach between each roll, then you cut it…

I'm allergic to quorn - so I would tell them IMO - quorn is hydrolized protein whatever that means, to me its not good. I would however reduce the amount of meat and increase the veggies to cut calories, but thats just me - so whatever works for you!

I'm not really an expert, I've been doing weights and strength training for a number of years but I find I just don't get the results I want so I'm probably not really qualified to say much, However, I will say that when I've done a hard work out session I can feel quite bulky and (I think) its water retention around the…

I have an ultimate reward of a new wardrobe - I have lots of mini goals on the way there and rewards for each one. I give myself some money each time I resist a temptation and I save that up to spend on my rewards. I also have a half way goal too. My ticker is set to my halfway goal at the moment.

That is so MEAN!

There have been studies that show muscle loss is reduced by doing regular weight training, ie you lose more fat if you have a calorie deficit and weight train also - but I don't think it can be completely prevented.

When I started my weight loss journey I was having dreams of myself at the perfect weight with perfect skin. Now I've lost some I'm dreaming of myself fat again!

I have quite a few family problems that stress me out. I would do exactly the same thing as you - no matter what the problem was I ate everything to think things through. I realised later that I actually ate to both cover my feelings and as frustration of not being able to voice my opinions. I have tried to tackle this…

I don't like BMI - the guy who invented said it should not be used for individuals.
