thank you all, very encouraging!! i sent you guys friends requests who volunteered it. sometimes in this journey, being pregnant and losing a parent.. i feel so alone. but communities like this help bring support and motivation, no matter the common interest! thank you :)

i was a new runner when i did C25k and stuck with the plan. that was last year. i'm doing a half marathon in 6 weeks - so I'd say the plan was successful. best of luck ♥ edit: on an "off running day" or two, maybe throw in different exercises - workout DVD, elliptical, row machine, etc.

I would possibly address it in the least confrontational way... if that doesn't work... than don't talk to her about diet and exercise anymore. unfortunately it sounds like she's not ready to accept that lifestyle, and is angry and jealous that you have done so. i feel your pain. I go through it with people i know as well.…

my fiance loooooves jager & diet.

i would ask your doctor first. keeping active and healthy during a pregnancy is great, but if you're getting back into it after a few months off, that's a different story. I would definitely ask your doc - and if he gives the OK - i say go for it! Just always keep an eye on your heart rate... a very elevated heart rate for…

if i'm like any other 27 year old woman, you play some BSB, NSYNC or NKOTB, and you'll have women (including myself) going crazy! My BF is in a cover band, and I'm still trying to get them to convert. But I notice 90s music gets girls up and moving. That, and Buckcherry - crazy *****. haha

i just got over the flu that felt like that - check with your Primary Care Doc. and if you're convinced that it's just the colder run, i highly suggest investing in cold weather gear. i love my UA cold gear. just make sure it's cold enough to wear it.. because if it's not cold enough, and your body starts to heat up,…

also, HRMs are for cardio exercise.. anything abover 120 really. your best bet is to log walking for 3mph for 40 mins in the MFP database. sounds like something's wrong with the HRM as well, but HRMs also aren't designed for casual walks. :) maybe invest in a fitbit! that'll give you a more accurate calorie burn for the…

you go girl! you look fabulous!!! isn't it an incredible feeling to look back and see how far you've come? way to go!

i agree. i think it's ridiculous. can't be banned though, because there will be too big an uproar! I avoid those places as well, because as we all know about choices, i don't make them well when i'm in that kind of environment. :)

running! i avg 15/min

i'll push through it because it helps with the cramps :)

hey, she's trying to be helpful, why does everyone have to attack? I thought we were here for support?

so would you be his uncle or step dad? also, would any children that come from this be the existing child's sibling or cousin? too much drama for something that may not pan out well.. i'd stay away. but that's just me.. everyone is entitled to their own opinions and needs, so if this makes you happy and you don't mind…

only thing I could think of would be that running pumps adrenaline.. which helps suppress appetite. other than that - I'm lost :)

My honest opinion, is that I'm not a huge fan, for two reasons. 1. i love carbs. but 2. i see carbs as a natural brain food and something the body needs to sustain long term normal functioning. However, I think using it for short term isn't bad, but long term dieting with Atkins is not recommended. I've never done it, but…

3 years and at the same level that you guys are. but that's not my choice! i hate that men have all the power in this ;)

be sure to eat plenty and drink lots.. some people just don't fair as well. i'm a habitual donor.. sometimes i get lightheaded. just tell them you passed out last time, and this time they'll give you more time to sit upright before getting up. its because of a drop in blood pressure when you sit up that causes you to pass…

i actually enjoy it because it makes the cramps go away!!

definitely need running shoes... and try putting your toes on the edge of a step and push your heel down to extend calves. warmup walks are essential. don't need to get shin splints!

I love going to the beach too. I put my ridiculously high SPF on, my big beach hat to keep the sun off my face and out of my eyes, and sit in a chair and close my eyes. picnics too - just did one this weekend!

honestly, i love most just coming home to a single glass of wine. sometimes i don't even finish it! I don't do that as much any more considering the whole "eating better" thing, but i also love watching some of my favorite TV shows as well to take my mind off things and relax the brain before going to sleep. Also, I find…

i work through the pain.. i find once my body warms up, the pain goes away. i'd miss out on too many days at the gym if i didn't go when i was sore!
