  • This girl is freakin' Bad @$$. I want to look like her..
  • You're hot! :noway:
  • Depending on what it is, I don't eat before a morning workout. If it's a short-medium distance run or even intervals, I won't eat. I just make sure I fuel up IMMEDIATELY afterwards. If it's a long, long run or bike ride (you know.... the death march kind), I'll have something. Normally a banana (trying potatoes now) or a…
  • I've been listening to the Paleo Solution podcasts and Robb Wolfe recommends using starchy carbs over fruit for athletes. Sweet potatoes, squash, (even white potatoes... and if you must *gasp* white rice) etc for after a workout instead of fruit. The sugar in fruit is fructose and in sweet potatoes and others it is…
  • Dang.... I figured no one would know anything about this. Any PTs out there?????
  • Okay I am not trying to be negative here; I really want to be helpful. I bought an expensive juicer a couple of years ago and used it for a couple if days and now it sits in my pantry.... Oh well. But seriously, I do still get it out when I have a hangover... or just want this version of orange juice: One grapefruit, 3…
  • Is it everyday? Or is it once in a while. Maybe she is an Ironman Triathlete... (12 hours average). Maybe she is an ultra-runner (100 miles at a time). Maybe an ultra-cyclist (Coast to coast in 7 days). Yeah, not likely, but ask HER.... not us.
  • I was just being honest....not trying to be rude.
  • I have them when I need a cheat.... but I have to be careful because I will want one everyday afterwards and it derails my good behavior.
  • My favorite is the Cookies and Cream.... and the strawberry. But don't try them or you will seriously never get over the addiction!
  • I have this problem too.... with their milk shakes.
  • Is there a reason you are writing in all caps? It's considered yelling. I know someone who does this.... she's bipolar. (not trying to be funny) She also types in all caps on Facebook for no reason. Also, my ex did this. He had some other mental issues. Seriously.
  • Maybe you should try explaining instead of just saying "melted cheese". How helpful is that?
  • I love these posts....
  • Look up carb flu. Sounds like thats what you have. People that switch to low carb tend to experience that for a while. It will eventually lift.
  • 24. You save bacon grease! ...and everything else that can be used as a broth or cooking agent.
  • I set my macros and my calories are also set to 1200. I don't particularly pay attention to calories. I watch the carbs mostly and pay attention to protein and fat. I can routinely go over in calories and still lose weight. I am eating when I am hunrgy and I eat what is healthy, and normally fall somewhere between 1200 and…
  • Porkchops - Rub with cumin, coriander, a little honey, salt and fresh ground pepper. I use a preheated cast iron pan and sear one side for a couple of minutes, flip and then cover and turn off heat (cast iron stays hot for a long time)... This way they stay juicy. I'll probably have mashed cauliflower with it as well.
  • Here is the recipe I used, except I did not have any fennel seeds. I burned the bottom of the pizzas the first time I made them, so be carful not to place them too low in your oven. I swear I couldn't tell I was eating cauliflower. It's a litttle messier because it's not as stiff as bread crust, but it definitely serves as…
  • I need advice too on maintaining. I have fallen off the wagon and gotten back on three times in one year. I don't know why because I LOVE the way I feel when I am doing well with it. I need to find a way to sustain. I think my problem is that I am so busy in general (like who isn't?) and I lose track and get lazy because…
  • I didn't dig deep, but with just a glance at your diary, I don't think you are eating too many carbs. I'd say you're just right. Between 50-100 grams is what I think Mark Sisson from Mark's Daily Apple recommends. My carbs are set at 90. I shoot for 60 on a normal day, but if I have a big workout, I'll add more... maybe…
  • Yeah, It's just a matter of figuring out what works for you. Good Luck!!
  • Were the kale chips you had homemade or from a bag? What didn't you like about them? I love the ones I made at home.... when I do it correctly. If I do it wrong, they are not good.

  • Oh yes! I've heard of adding cinnamon, which I WILL do because I love it. I bought the immersion blender during my lunch break!!!
  • Is it the coconut flavor that's turning you off? Unrefined coconut oil has a stronger coconut oil flavor than refined. I use refined for cooking and I honestly don't taste it. For the nutrients I use unrefined to add to my tea or just to eat straight out of the jar.... more coconut flavor.
  • I think you are a little TOO low carb. Try adding some more healthy carbs and see how your body responds. Maybe add a piece of fruit or sweet potato to your daily diet. I've found that when I shoot for around 90 grams of carbs I feel better.
  • Thanks, everyone!!!! These are really great suggestiong and great information. I am totally going to buy the immersion blender. What a great idea at a fair price. Can't wait to try this!!
  • My fiance was in a bike wreck a few years ago. If he hadn't been wearing his helmet he would have died. His head hit the asphalt and to see the helmet afterwards was gut-wrenching. Yes, i wear a helmet. You can get them for $30..... that's a cheap insurance policy if you ask me!
