Wow! That's awesome and I hope you have a great trip. I have absolutely no advice for you:frown: as I can never be successful with a diet when vacationing. Please let me know if you discover a great way to tackle that problem.... I am going to Tahiti and Bora Bora this fall for a week and a half. Okay and please take a…

It seems like it is harder to find pastured pigs. I found my source for pasture raised, grass fed beef from cows that were NEVER fed corn. I have also found my source of pasture raised chickens and eggs. I don't know about the pigs yet.... still looking.

If you just started riding it, that's normal. You get this "punched in the butt" feeling for a while. Even if you take a week or so off and go back, you may get it again. If you ride it regularly you'll get used to it and it will go away. If you've been riding it regularly and for a long time and still hurt, go to a bike…

It may just be the angle, but you look thinner in the black one. Black is always more slimming.

Me either. I'm just using that as an example.... there are many, many more. The point is there would be laws in place to force these things on society, which is okay and fine by me..... but I would be scared that people would become complacent and not feel it necessary to change. And I don't care if someone is overweight…

Yes! Less people on the plane = higher fairs.

Most people here seem to be saying that no one should be judged on appearances, everyone loved for who they are, etc. Which is true, but that is not what the fat acceptance movement is about. It's about being FORCED to make accomodations for large peopl. Example: Airlines being required to have larger seats. It's kinda…

It was not a waste of time because you will gain fitness from it regardless. Next time you may be able to tackle the hill a little easier.... and then the next time tackle it and keep moving. I have never heard that anything under 15 minutes is a waste of time. That sounds silly to me.

I don't know about the Advocare Plan, but there are many people who use Intermittent Fasting as a means of losing weight. They eat early in the evening one day and then do not eat again until the next afternoon at which point they eat their entire days worth of calories as normal throughout the rest of the day. They are…

I prefer tile.... like the large Mexican tile stuff. It doesn't get nasty like carpet, and pets don't destroy it like hardwood.

But it's cool for others to have one..... I kinda like them sometimes.

I don't have one, nor do I want one. You don't put bumper stickers on a Bentley!!!!

How did you pull a muscle in your inner thigh? Were you sprinting? I would imagine that the compression shorts would provide some support to the muscle and help it not get worse/heal. I use compression socks when my shin splint flare up, so by the same concept, it may help.

A controlled cheat is much better than a chaotic cave-in!!! I say go for it.

I just looked up Tanka bars. I read their philosophy and read about the nutritional value of the bars themselves. Sounds awesome! They have a goal of getting 100% of their meat from grass fed buffalo, but state they are currently 75%. That's still great. I can't wait to try these. I am not big on eating from a wrapper, but…

I agree with this to a certain extent. Right now I try and average 50 or 60 grams per day. It helps me lose pretty quickly. Once I reach my goal weight I will slowly add more HEALTHY carbs to my diet. At that point I plan to average 120-150 or so. Before, when I paid no attention to what I ate, I could easily consume 300.…

Maybe $500 or so. Lots of meat and veggies!! Very little processed foods.

If you are eating plenty of calories and eating healthy and still losing weight, then more than likely, that's your body's natural way to be. Your body is trying to reach what optimal weight it should be. Why hinder that? Why exactly do you NOT want to lose? If you are afraid of being too thin, cut the cardio back and do…

You need to start working in outdoor runs. They are very different. You don't want to realize this right before your race. Although if your race is not until October you have time. When you do start on the road, start slowly as your joints will not be used to it. Go back and forth between road and treadmill for a few weeks…
-
The only time I use my treadmill is when I feel like I need a short, low impact run. I love the road so much more. I may use it in the future more, because it is a good tool to use for intervals to set a pace and get used to what it feels like. But you could also do that on a track or road if you have a GPS device.

*drools* :noway: ......sorry.

How many grams per day on average?
-
Hmmmm..... You'd have to eat a ton of veggies, I suppose. Were you told a specific amount in grams?
-
You forgot to answer the question....
-
For me it was really weird at first to eat a lot of fatty meats, eggs, etc. and still tell myself it's healthy and okay. Now my mindset has completely changed. You'll get used to it!

I burned over 1000 tonight and I DO work (full time)..... what are these people talking about???? They just don't know what dedication is!!
