  • I love filet mignon! Ribeyes tend to have too much gristle(?) in them.

  • I know this about dairy. I just worded my question/explanation wrong.... You are so right and thanks for the insight. I may have to try the dairy from goat's milk like you said.

  • What's up with the mouth thing???? I have a different feeling in my mouth. Mine is not what I would call "slimy" but it is definitely a different feeling to me. I can't really describe it; it's just different. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
  • I'm pretty sure it's spelled ALMOND, but I can't go back and edit the title. Oops!

  • Yeah, It's not so much that I am enjoying the actual feeling. I am just getting excited about it working for me. These are just symptoms and indicators of positive things that will be happening to my body.
  • I don't have any tattoos.... you don't put bumper stickers on a Bentley! Actually, I always said I would never get one, but I may get one in October. I am honeymooning in Bora Bora, so while I am there I may get a Tahitian tattoo. Something TINY and it will be my only one, ever. I figure if I am to ever get one, it should…
  • Thanks for the info!!

  • What's inside of those?
  • Do you go around looking for low carbers? I see you everywhere trying to convince people they are wrong.

  • Hey, could you please explain what you mean by net carbs? I try to stay in the range of 40-60grams per day, but what would net carbs be and is important to focus on net?

  • Don't wait until Monday. Weigh tomorrow morning so that you'll know whether or not it was the time of day. Then weigh again on Monday. I weigh myself in the morning and at night just so I can see the difference it makes. Not saying people should do that, but it you'll see a drastic difference between night and morning.
  • Not all male trainers would have this attitude.... I shouldn't stereotype. I did work with a dude a couple of times when my trainer was out and he was really good. Still prefer the girls though.
  • Find a new trainer. Find a female trainer that has similar goals. I think male trainers for the most part are going to go easy on you, or they are going to try to shape you into what he thinks is the ideal body for a woman. I had a female trainer once and she was AMAZING!!!! She pushed me, and we did a lot of weight…
  • I have always made this on the stove and had to cook it for 2 hours. It never occured to me to toss everything in the crock pot and make it easier on myself! *slaps forehead*
  • You are freakin' gorgeous!!! WTG on the half marathon!
  • A coworker of mine has heart attack-like symptoms when he has splenda. He went to the ER a few times and the doctors told him that he was not having a heart attack, but didn't know why he had the symptoms. Finally a doctor told him that some people react to it. Makes you wonder if those that don't have the in-your-face…

  • I think you have a good idea about the carb cycling. If you monitor your carb intake and only go a little higher on workout days, that may help you with any cravings. It's not good to deny yourself; Instead a "controlled" cheat is what you need. Instead of cutting out things you like and later breaking down and binging on…
  • I prefer outside, but it's not always feasible. I do both. Here are my treadmill Pro/Cons: PROS: 1.) Easier on your body 2.) Can be used during any weather 3.) Safer - in terms of not getting hit by cars, chased by dogs, abducted, etc. 4.) You can monitor your speed a little easier - enables you to focus on speedwork in a…
  • Seems low carb enough.... Thanks!!!!

  • Wow you look great! It's hard to believe that's even the same person. Way to go!!
  • DO IT!!!!! It's not as overwhelming as it seems. When I did my first tri, I was comfortable doing all three separately and I expected it to be extremely hard to put them together. It wasn't that bad. Yes, i was extremely tired afteward, but I completed the entire thing without stopping (walking during the run). The…
  • Oh, and toss in a square inch of ginger into a lot of the juices you make. The ginger has amazing healing properties.

  • I have a juicer and it is so much work that I don't use it too much anymore. But what I still do and LOVE is my citrus breakfast juice. I swear it has helped boost my metabolism and it tastes so refreshing!! This is what you need: 1 Grapfruit 3 oranges 1 lemon To make your mornings less stressful, peel your fruit the night…

  • 140ish because I have a lot of muscle and am an athlete. Possibly 130ish. I won't know what's right for me until I get there. Once I hit the low 140's I'll know whether or not the low 130's are reasonable for me.
  • Of course!!! I do well on a low carb diet and since bacon is low carb, this lollipop is for me!!
