I don't have any scientific basis for this or anything, but these are my thoughts: Plain coffee is good for you. I think it has antioxidants, etc. If you like your coffee black then that's how I would drink it. I just can't stand the taste of drinking black coffee, so I use cream and no sugar. Coffee with cream and no…

Dude.... dihydrogen monoxide kills more people every year than any other compound. We should ban it! BAN DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE!!!

If you drink pure H2O, you would get sick. Water for human consumption has minerals in it. I don't care what people consider a cup of water (whether is has flavor or not), but just FYI.... you are not drinking pure H2O even when you drink the cleanest water possible.

I don't get this.... who exactly are you disrespecting???? That is not even a good argument for having them, so that person doesn't know what they are talking about.

Can you explain this to me, just so I understand? Right now I just swim for distance, and I am good at swimming, so I really need to just focus on my speed now. 100's on 1:20 means you swim 100m and try to make it in 1min 20 sec? Then you do an easy 100m. Do that 5 times and then do the 100's in 1:15 and so on? And you do…

I ride in a group ride with a lot of accomplished athletes. It KILLS me to keep up with them. I would like to add more interval work into my runs, but I am afraid to because I am pretty injury prone. I often do sprints in the pool. That can be tough as well.

Yes. I agree. Eating the most natural whole foods is the healthiest way. A family member of mine told me sometime last year that she wanted to lose weight and she went out and bought all kinds of "diet friendly" food and that's all she ate all day. I'm talking 10 or so bags of 100 calorie snacks, etc. :indifferent: I…

Also, it is possible that they did eat them, but very little due to them having to be processed. It wasn't until modern agriculture that grains became so prevalent in our diet. Now we eat them constantly, where before they were hard to come by.

You are correct. So I'll just end with this.... It obviously works for me, so I'll keep doing it. Eveyone else should do what works for them. :flowerforyou:

Who says I can't back it up? Wanna take a look at my biomarkers pre and post-paleo?

It very well could have.... just like the SAD could be contributing to all the obesity, heart disease, diabetes....

 Because we are aware of the other factors involved... We have a working brain, perhaps???

The average life expectancy was lower because they didn't have the protection and shelter that we have today and they didn't have doctors and hospitals that we have today, and they had to hunt and gather and migrate, etc. which left them very vulnerable to injury and illness. Why is that even an arguement against the diet?…

My thighs and stomach do not look like that. I eat cheese all the time.

This was right on time!!! I was just getting on to myself after logging my terrible lunch that I told myself would be my "unplanned" cheat meal.

The one on the left is my ex-husband!

When I am not hungry at the end of the day, but still need calories, I eat energy-dense food. 2 tablespoons of peanut butter is 200 calories. That's normally my fix.

If she's not answering then the time is now to stop. Send one final message that leaves it open like "Whenever you want to go to the gym, let me know". Don't send her another invite after that.
