You're generally low on iron, so yeah, it will make you tired and more difficult to push yourself. I usually take it easier for the first couple of days and I eat a steak

Usually twice, yes!

SO true!!!! ...and so sad....

I don't really understand how so many people can act like this! Especially "friends" and even spouses and significant others for crying out loud... It's ridiculous. Today I was talking about how my shirt didn't feel as tight as it normally did because I've lost a few pounds and my "friend" was like "Well, good for you"....…

LOL!!!!

TOTALLY TRYING THIS!!! I also saw another member say they make pizza with portabella mushroom in order to forgoe the carbs of the crust. Scrape out the gills of the mushroom and fill with mozzarella and whatever other toppings you want. Then you bake it. You have to eat it with a fork though.

^^^THIS^^^ Thin but strong! Not skinny fat!

I've had bison in restaurants.... but I'm they are not fed a good diet. My fiance has family in Oregon where there's a guy who has Bison that are grass fed. I wonder if I could bring some back after visiting. I'm sure that's good meat!!!

HOLY CRAP!!!!! I freakin' LOVE you!!!! No seriously..... I freakin' LOVE you!!!!

Welcome!!! And good luck!

You have to be really patient and easy with it too. I am very injury prone and have had Achilles problems, IT Band Syndrome, runner's knee, shin splints and torn muscles. Achilles Tendonitis is the hardest to treat IMHO. All the other things I have experienced were manageable, but Achilles issues are a whole different ball…

I cut it in half (kinda hard to do) and scoop out all the seeds and "hairy, furry guts". I rub olive oil and garlic all over the middle.

I don't have healthy achilles tendons either! It sucks!!! I ice after workouts and gently stretch throughout the day (not just before and after workouts) I have found this very helpful if you are extra still in the morning getting out of bed: Night splints that keep your foot dorsi flexed keep the tendon elongated in the…

I love running..... but I didn't in the beginning. Some days I hate going, but towards the middle of my run I realize how awesome it feels to actually be running. Nothing gives me confidence like being able to go run 5 miles. In the beginning, try the run/walk method. Alternate walking for a minute, running for a minute.…

I do that so that I can better plan for the day in terms of my meals.... but if I end up not doing it or changing it, I'll then go back and adjust my log to reflect that. Sometimes going ahead and logging it make s me feel like I then HAVE to do it!!

I cook it on a regular basis and love it because you can dress it up like pasta, but it's healthier. It doesn't have the same texture... it's a bit crunchier in a vegetable sort of way, but I think it's good. Bake it with plenty of garlic on it. You can add your favorite marinara or meat sauce and toss in plenty of…

Thanks for all the info, guys!!! We haven't cooked it yet because it wasn't thawed as of last night. We may cook it tonight. This meat came from North Georgia. Not a whole lot of corn fields in this area. Hopefully they live mostly off of people herb gardens.... those pesky deer. :grumble: Although a lot of people will put…

Oh, and Sunkist! And beer..... Dang the list goes on....

Mello Yellow and Mountain Dew..... And Coke!!! Dang soda.....:grumble: We have a love/hate relationship!

Supposedly there's a certain way you cut it that doesn't cause tears. I watched it on some cooking show. You cut it in a way where you never actually cut the bottom... where the root thingy is. I can't explain what I watched but try youtube...How to cut an onion

We are going to add some fat to it before grilling. I hope it's not too tough, but it may be.
-
Ok, thanks! That was helpful!
-
I am on a low carb diet and I still get at least 50-60. You should up it a little bit.
-
........and, let me add..... the winner of the race will likely run it in under 18 minutes, while the last person may take up to 45..... so I don't think you'll be last. Good luck and congrats on your accomplishment!!!
-
REALLY FAST would be like 18 minutes. I would think average to be 8 min/mi, so 24-25 minutes. 30 minutes would be about 10 min/mi and 36 is a little less than 12 min/mi. Sooooo.......... Not to be rude, but you're kinda slow..... JUST LIKE ME. My 5k is around 36 minutes and my goal is to be down to 9 min/mi which is a 5k…

I thought about trying that. Thanks!!!

No, No..... I LOVE regular bacon. This is different. Thanks though.
