Thanks!! I love reading books about the diet. It keeps me so motivated! When I find myself slipping and losing motivation, all I have to do is pick up the Primal Blueprint and I'm quickly reminded of why I am doing this. You can never have enough resources! Thanks for the info!

Interesting.... and scary.

The arguement against white potatoes is that they contain toxins and other compounds.... But I have seen a lot of debate over it and I read that these are in the skin. I don't normally eat the skins when I do eat them. And I certainly don't eat fries. Another thing is the starchy carb load.... but sometimes I need an…

I second the onion and carrots!!! They get so soft and full of flavor when you toss 'em in there with your beef or pork roast. Stay away from the BBQ sauce!!!

I was pretty grouchy, too, as my body acclimated. My fiance noticed my demeanor change slightly. Just explain what's going on to everyone and they should understand. But at the same time, try to be mindful of it as well and try a little harder to not let it take over. It will pass pretty soon.

This is mine: http://pinterest.com/kbray003/food/ At first I was pinning anything that looked good to me (before I went Primal) so there's a ton of stuff on there that's not primal, but I've been pinning mostly primal stuff now, so hopefully it will help.

I like oily fish, so I may stick with sockeye. I'll try the coho just to see though. i just wanted to make sure they are comparable in terms of nutrition and environmental sustainability.

Most pharmacies that have a walk in clinic can do it with no appointment. My insurance paid for it as well (minus the copay of $25). I did it when starting paleo and then had it done again at my doctor 6 weeks later (also covered by insurance). It was great to see the difference that only 6 weeks made. VERY motivating!!

I love buying jeans so definitely those. I am going on my honeymoon in about 3 months, so looking forward to buying some really cute dresses, tanks, and lingerie.

Anyone can have a different, unique experience, but I have had a good one. I have been suffering from achilles tendonitis for a couple of years. I had physical therapy that didn't help. I did all the typical things like ice, rest, NSAIDs, etc to no avail. I bought some Vibrams and slowly added a couple of treadmill runs. I…

I love my thighs! I'm a cyclist and a runner, and during the peak of the season, they are ripped!

If possible, go get your cholesterol and other bloodwork checked now, and then again in 100 days. I did that (except mine was for only 6 weeks) and saw everything change for the better. It's great data to go in your excel spreadsheet.

I use them for workout fuel instead of gels on a bike ride or long run. I buy the kind without sugar. I am pretty sure they are paleo because the ingredients are: raisins aka, grapes. But yes, they are sugar bombs.... that's why I eat them for fuel.

If i'm hungry I eat them back. If I'm not hungry I don't. Listen to your body.

Working for me so far. People need to do whatever works for them.

Where can I get one?

Also, I had elevated levels of chloride and low levels of carbon dioxide, indicating hyperventilation of the blood. There was no reason for me to be in a state of hyperventilation. I looked it up and read that the body uses hyperventilation to balance metabolic acidosis.... Could this be an indication of ketosis or…

The sun comes up at 5:00???? Man, I'm glad I don't live where you live.

I wear panties or shorts but stay topless. I sometimes put a tank on, but not often.

I say no shoes. You can develop the muscles in your feet and lower legs by working out at home with no shoes. This will help you in the long run. If you're doing something high impact you may want to wear them..... or if you're using weights, because dropping one on your toe might rip a toenail off....ewwwww.

10 lbs since May 1.

There's a juicing recipe that calls for celery, cucumber, and coconut water. It is meant to be a hydration drink because the ingredients are full of electrolytes. I used it on a shorter ride (metro Atlanta area) and I had no issues with cramping etc. I haven't done any long rides, so I can't say how it worked.

LOL! Who does not have a weakness for bacon????? I was a vegetarian several years ago and not eating bacon killed me!!!! I love the Paleo/Primal diet because I eat meat, but get it from people who respect the animals and the environment. Win - win!!

On days that I have intense training (90 min of cycling 18mph+; ~1300 cal burned) I eat a sweet potato or a couple of pieces of fruit two hours prior to the ride. Right before the ride (15min) I have about 2 Tablespoons of honey. I also make sure I eat a lot that day as well..... Breakfast, Lunch, and snacks ALL day.

Thanks! I use canning jars to store it, so I feel like that's pretty air tight. I figured I should strain it, but I don't have any cheese cloth at the moment, so I will have to get some. Oven cooking is not a bad idea. I wonder if it will work for me to pour off most of it before it gets to be almost done to prevent the…
