I go over my sugar count every day. Partly because of my 3-4 TBSP of coffee creamer daily (it used to be 6-8 so this is a HUGE change for me), but also because I LOVE fruits! I have faithfully tracked my food for almost 6 weeks, and I have been exercising 4-6 times a week and I have lost 13 pounds so far. Unless you are…

after training yourself to run a 5K, your bike will be obsolete! I like bike riding, too, but I don't feel like I get much of a workout with it. Although, I WILL be riding down the side of a volcano next month! I can't wait!!! (At least it's all DOWNHILL, and not the other way around!)

it's great to see so many different countries listed! My hubby and I are contemplating moving north to TN, NC, or even Ireland someday. We went to Ireland for our honeymoon 5 years ago and can't wait to go back!!!

Keep it up Jenn! It gets better! Randy, I do the same thing...I usually warm up for a mile before starting the C25K with a couple of 60 sec jogs, then do another mile after with a couple of jogs. My son challenged me to run for a total of 15 minutes last weekend, and I did it! Actually, I did 16.5 minutes of total running.…

That's awesome!!! I'm still on week 3, so I'll let you know when I get to week 5 how it goes for me. I did, however, run (not as part of the program, but to catch up to my hubby after a pit stop) for 2.5 minutes last night non-stop, walked for a minute, then ran for another minute. Unbeknownst to me...the little twit was…

Today, I was supposed to do W3D2, but it has been storming ALL Day long! So, I did Jillian's 30 Day Shred video...then I started thinking (because for some strange reason I WANTED to run) and I used my Wii Fit to walk/jog in place for the C25K durations. It wasn't as tough as actually running, but it was better than…

I'm on W3D2 (kind of) and I was actually disappointed that I couldn't go outside and run today. I am enjoying it. I work the next 5 days in a row (12 hour shifts) so I don't know how much running I will get done...we'll see!
-
OK..week 2 completed!! AND...I ran an additional 5 intervals at 60 seconds and another 1 at 90 seconds! My 15 year old son challenged me to run for a total of 15 minutes today...so I did. I just texted him "Challenge accepted, met, and exceeded!" I feel GREAT! Bring on week 3!!!!

I have the top heavy issue, too (38DDD is what I wear, but I have never been truly measured), and always used it as an excuse. My GYN suggested wearing a regular bra with a sports bra over it for extra support and it really works. I'm on W2D2 (did it today, plus some!) and I'm looking forward to being able to run the…

Thanks Stripey.... I found a friend who is on the same day as me, so we are able to really encourage each other through it. I find myself WANTING to run even on my walking days, so I guess my body is handling it OK. On my off days, I work 12+ hour shifts on my feet, so I think I get a decent workout on those days, too!

I'm sort of local...Bradenton. Great job on over 100 pounds lost!

Happy to report I just finished W2D2 today and I even threw in a couple of 60 second runs on my way home! This really feels great! :-)

I have an open diary, and I try not to "diet" as much as making better choices and portion control. I actually had dinner one night a few weeks ago with my son at Chick-Fil-A AND stayed within my calorie goal! As for pizza, have you ever tried making English Muffin Pizza? You can top it with whatever you like, but it's…

Welcome! I too joined a few years ago, but this is the first time I have gotten really serious about exercise and weight loss. I have been consistent for 30 days now and have lost 10 pounds! I work full time, go to school (on-line) more than full time, and I have 3 kids ages 13 - 17. I would advise that you make time for…

I use my Wii Fit and weigh in almost every morning. I know my weight can fluctuate, so I don't worry too much about the number, I just like to see the overall trend (the Wii Fit will graph it for you AND gives you your BMI calculation). I only record my weight here twice a week. Usually Monday and Thurs, but yesterday…

I'm only on W2D1, but since I started I have been doing an additional 1 mile after my cool down so I am always walking 3 miles or so. If you do this, then you KNOW you can finish, it's just a matter of how much of it you can run. I know we have a 5K coming up soon, but I'm not sure on the date. I might just have to sign up…

I'm now on my 4th attempt at the C25K program, and today was the FIRST time I made it to W2D1...and I made it THROUGH it! It was tough, but I did it. My first run is usually a bit faster (5 mph or so), but as I get further into the workout, I know I am slowing down. I'm not worrying about my speed so much as I am just…

What is Mary Esther near, Josh?

Nope, I don't get hit on, either. I get looked up and down, a lot, but no one ever talks to me...even when I was single. I go out to the country club for concerts on a fairly regular basis...in the last 4 trips, got hit on ONCE by this creepy-looking older guy. I don't see myself as a beauty by any means, but I'm not bad…

Tampa Bay area, Florida currently, raised in the middle of nowhere, MI, but born in Vancouver, WA

I'm in the same boat...I get lots of sugar from fruits...and my 3-4 tbsp daily of coffee creamer. I'm thinking about trying sugar-free creamer, but I don't know about that and how it would taste. I'm loosing 4-5 pounds every 2 weeks so far, so I'm not sweating it! :-)

Where do you live now, JoeFiesta?
-
Trisha in Bradenton... I have lived in FL for almost 20 years and I LOVE it here! I've really started focusing on weight loss in the last month and have been pretty happy with the results so far. Feel free to add me!

Steffo - the Glow-in-the-Dark run sounds like a blast! I am just starting W2D1 tomorrow, so I'm new too! I'll be sending a friend request your way! :-) I can't wait to complete this!
-
You guys are scaring the CRAP outta me! I'm about to start w2d1 tomorrow... :-) Love the advice though!

I get along with my husband's ex. We even go to concerts together! Not so strange to me!

Mine is more about a lack of comment... I lost 25 pounds when I started a new job where I was running a lot, and my husband did not EVER say one word about it. I went back to the place I had worked before and got ALL KINDS of compliments, but my husband (now ex-husband) never said a word. That hurt more than anything!

Goofy, I looked through several days of your diary, and it seems to me you are doing A LOT of "diet" food. Why not try to eat more regular foods, but in moderation. I do this, and I stay within my calorie goals, and I don't really feel like I am dieting! I even had fast food with my son last night (Chick-fil-A, they have a…

You are supposed to add those calories back, because 1200 calories is already a deficit, just for normal day-to-day activity. I try to stay within my original 1200, then eat maybe half of what I exercise. It's supposed to be 1200 NET calories for the day.
