Hmmm, must be the title...I know there's got to be some long distance bike riders out there.:ohwell:
-
BUMP yet again...
-
Maybe there's a new group of people trolling the forum that include some bikers?

Honestly, 1.5 months is not very long. If you are already feeling a difference in your energy level then you're doing something right. By your profile pic, you don't look too much over weight, so you'll have a more difficult time losing those 10-20 unwanted pounds. Keep at this, you are only helping yourself by eating…

I work second shift. I regularly eat dinner anytime btwn 8-1000 pm. On busy nights, it might not be until 11 pm. Not only that, but when I get home from work at 0100 I have a snack then too. Hasn't hurt me yet.

Wow, this was never even questioned in our home, or in my lifetime. We all had our own towel rack and everybody used their own towel. I totally agree with you. I don't think that makes us freaky, just touchy about anything that touches our *kitten* or someone else's and then touching our faces. We just don't want that to…

Like bacon? Check this out! https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/384598_405968622785339_589225513_n.jpg Worth the extra effort of copy and paste...maybe someone else can get it to actually appear in the thread.

Congratulations!! Any time you can get your body off of chemicals-even ones that are medicinal-you're doing well. Keep up the good work!
-
lol, me too! I got it after I read the Anne Frankly...

This is definitely a "go to hell for" joke: What's the hardest part about eating a vegetable? . . .. . . . . . Getting her back into her wheelchair. I'm Sorry!!
-
I'm bumping this b/c I'm dying to see some responses!
-
Good job! I always think of popcorn as a good snack. If you're an ice cream fanatic, try TCBY frozen yogurt and take to that house to eat or ask them to try it as well. I just "discovered" it and OMGOSH!!!!!!!! Sooooo good and creamy. And, you can never go wrong with peanut butter.

Add in another for me!
-
Welcome!! Best wishes to achieving a healthier, happier you!

I imagine that, yes, you can. Also, you can google "burning calories carrying groceries". I don't remember the site, but it actually had that category, as well as "walking, carrying toddler", and many other day to day activities. Since I'm assuming you don't grocery shop every day, this is an above and beyond activity and…

Awesome! AND good thinking!

You know, threads like this bother me. There are some really good stories about stupid things people say, but most are what all of us hear day in and day out. I, myself, am kind of tired of hearing many of them now that I am on the receiving end, but I used to say almost all of the things stated here myself because I was…

I'm dying to find out how it goes...be sure to keep us posted!!!

I can agree with SherryTeach. I use to be underweight for my height, but thought I was the biggest cow. I would forget to eat. I just wasn't hungry. EVER. Even nursing my son, and who knows how that boy got any nutrition, but thankfully it didn't affect him any. Then, I started gaining weight. Packed on 65 pounds in about…

YOU sir, are my HERO!!

Bump in a major way!! This is going in my recipe file. Best kind of recipe...simple, minimal ingredients and deeee-licious sounding. Thanks!!

What I was trying to say, was that I wasn't trying to be snotty, so please don't take it that way. I put it out there with all due respect in response to your comment about "This being so hard." You also did not mention that you change your exercises daily to work different muscle groups in your OP, so I agree with that…
-
Oops, this isn't funny anymore now that I changed my profile pic from a pic of my puppy to an actual photo of me. *sheepish grin*
-
Not intending to be snotty, but did you read Katie and my posts? We take a day off from our USUAL exercise, but substitute some other form of exercise for it. Have fun!
-
You just really made my day!! That is my grandson. Thank-you for your kind words.
-
They say a day off from exercising is good, but I need some exercise so I can eat what I want, lol. So, I do a different exercise. Our big thing is biking, but on one or two days a week, I'll sub mowing the grass (cuz it needs it) or gardening/housework (again, cuz it needs it) Still exercising, but working different…

First off, thirty day shredders...DO NOT do the quad stretches the way Jillian does. Puts too much torque on your knee and leaves you more prone to injuring it. That said, as an older person, I have found that just adding 15 mins a day of stretches has REALLY relieved a lot of my aching/stiffness issues. I also stretch…

Tisk/Sigh... MY hopes are dashed.
-
poster above is pretty, I, however have been told I'm a real dog!!
-
When I started this, I did 30 mins of stretching along with sit ups, modified push ups and leg lifts and 30 mins of walking the dog and then I did the 7 flights of stairs at work. That was enough to get me kick started. From there I went into 30 ds. The sit ups and the stretching I had been doing helped. I still was sore,…
