I find the excercise calories MFP awards is high. I used my GPS tracker with HRM to find out the real ones and to find MFP is high.

Couple things can do it - and yes we have all been there - water weight gain, femals around that TOTM seem to gain (at least for me), muscle gain through your excercise which always weighs more then fat, etc. Many people say put away the scale and it depends on each person. It depends on how I feel. I try not to take more then 1 (but sometimes life gets in the way) and I let my body tell me when I need one.

I agree there is nothing wrong with changing over to hiking. However if you really want to get back to running: music playlist, jogging partner, get a dog or two.

I also give in. I get the smallest I can, if the small is still to many calories I spilt it with hubby. Sometimes there is something just as good that I can substitute (esp sweet cravings I find the 90 cal fiber one carmel and pretzel to do the trick).

I agree with the last 2 posters. Of you feel you didn't give it all instead of doing it again why not go for a walk instead after dinner tonight - you get excecise but are not going to burn yourself out further. Maybe even involve the hubby and kids so it is fun.

I do water ALOT, I also spread my calories out. I snack on things like carrots.

Not sure how far you can get in 7 days but at work we are doing INSANITY and it is really really hard but very very helpful!

I also give in. I allow enough calories for low cal popcorn, 1/2 a Kit Kat bar (hubby eats other half), a chia tea latte (Oregon concentrate and skim milk), and/or a smart ones desert.

It depends for me. If I'm having a bad day the "truth and utterly honest" comments are not helpful but I tell you it took my husband really being honest and harsh to get me to really look at things and be honest with myself. Eventually your body learns to use it in other and better ways in the absorption process.

Yes your body will adjust. I drink between 3-16 glasses a day and when I slack off I pay for it in walks to the bathroom. I try to average at least 9 glasses a dy.

I tend to lie the other way, if I cant find it in the database or if there are multiple versions I take the most calories possible instead of the least. Otherwise I try to log EVERYTHING.

Depends, if your neglecting other things to workout (and maybe this is what your wife is trying to say she is feeling) then maybe yeah. How many days a week are you working out like this? Do you have kids to fit in here too? What about time with the wife? On top of working.....

I try hard not to eat back all my exercise calories, while MFP sets your calories I find that the rate of calories burned set by MFP are high, which means you are not burning as much as you think.
