Ever feel like you needed a workout do-over?

So this morning was a fast one. My husbands car is in the shop so I had to pack up my two girls and drive him to work. So I ate 1/2 a banana and a tall nonfat caramel macchiato (i *needed* my coffee and didnt have time to make it- hey it was only 140 calories!) Anyway, I got home ate a cup of bluberries and thought I could get in my JM 30DS workout in (im on level 2 for like the 5th day). I just dont feel like gave it my all. I feel like I cheated on reps by 2 or 3. I felt like a failure.

We had a playdate only a short while after, so I figured I could do something when I got home. I did turbo jam's turbo sculpt and felt like a rockstar! Why couldn't I put my all into the JM workout? Food issue?

Anyway, I feel like I need to do a "do-over" later tonight after dinner. Is it normal to want to try again in the same day if I feel awful about how I did?

:(

I know what exactly what you mean. Sometimes I just can't seem to get into my workout no matter how much I want to. I just consider it an off day and try again the next morning
  • I wouldn't worry about it too much. I do Turbo Fire and there are days when I feel I just "schlepped" through my workout. It may have not been the intensity I usually do, but at least I did it! Then the next day..I'm back at it and feel really great !

I agree with the last 2 posters. Of you feel you didn't give it all instead of doing it again why not go for a walk instead after dinner tonight - you get excecise but are not going to burn yourself out further. Maybe even involve the hubby and kids so it is fun.

That sounds like a great idea. My 5 yo really loves to ride her scooter. If I put the 2 yo in the stroller my arms can get a bit of a workout too :)

I just feel like I need a bit more strength in today too. I just hate feeling so failure-like.
