I've lost 50lb since the start of August - mostly low carb and gym about 5 days a week with archery 3 or 4 times a week.
-
I'm exactly the same - massive carb cravings in the week before TOM. I try to limit myself on card the rest of the month but that week I let myself have carbs but they have to stay in my calories. After a couple of days the cravings seem to ease for me and I can go back to reducing carbs again.

Definitely I eat out with work etc a lot and compete in sport every weekend which means eating out. In that situation people always want to buy rounds of drinks - so much better if it's diet and doesn't wipe out my calories (it's hard enough staying under when away)

Every day :) I love cheese - I work some into my calories every day, whether its a Babybell as a protein snack or on cauliflower with chicken for dinner.
-
^This I'm naturally very much a night person but to work and fulfill my other commitments I've had to shift my day too start at 0500 in order to get to the gym every morning.

I'm no expert but having seen friends and students trying to quit smoking I would recommend that you stick with what you're used to. Making life more difficult for yourself in other aspects will make both healthy choices and quitting harder. Good luck in both tho!

I have a Flex; which I think is fab! It's really motivating to keep me moving.
-
I'm in :) 3/1/14 = 1 mile walked 4/1/14 = 1 mile jogged 18.5mins

I prefer to think in "waking periods" rather than days (during the holidays I'm mostly nocturnal i.e. sleeping 4pm-10pm and awake 10pm-4pm) But whichever you choose I'd always do the same.

I'm working on trying to keep carbs under 50g for the day and definitely under 75g

Well done!

Normal gym session: 35 minutes cardio and an hour generic resistance and core work
-
I think this will be interesting - I'll be starting this today :)
-
This :)
-
I will be - mostly as we don't really go all out for New Year anyway. I'll have a normal average calorie dinner and then probably have a bottle of something fruity and fizzy (I have an excellent selection of flavoured ciders in at the moment) And some of the Christmas chocolate might get finished off... But to balance this…
-
I'm up 3kg; but that WILL be gone plus a bit by the end of Jan!
-
I'll be eating at maintenance rather than a deficit Christmas Eve & Day and Boxing Day - then back into deficit.

When I've been in similar situations I have to admit my priority was to manage the stress rather than exercising. Whether that's through swapping a step class for a yoga class, finding a way out of the situation or talking to someone about the cause of the stress. I found that once I've got the stress down from "very high"…

I tend to sleep better if I go to bed slightly hungry; if I have a big meal before bed I tend to struggle to stay asleep
-
Personally I go for fasted in the mornings I go to the gym before work; but at the weekends when I go to the gym later in the day (usually around 11) I have breakfast first. I don't notice any performance difference in terms of cardio. I tend to find that I can lift slightly higher weights if I've eaten tho.

Epic!
-
I use one as a meal replacement for breakfast nearly everyday; I use PhD Diet Whey

Currently UK24 on the bottom and a UK18 on top; I'd love to UK16 on the bottom and a UK12/14 on top
-
I've got the same problem; lost 30lbs and gone from a *tight* 40E to a loose 38C. But I've also lost a couple of inches from waist and hips, just not enough to look balanced!
-
Amazing difference!
-
I find Yoga and Pilates good; I tend to get a lot of cramps and the core elements of both these help.
-
I think it's good as long as it's done in a polite/sensitive way
-
Personally I only log water if I haven't flavoured it and if it's not sparkling.

Gym :) Not only is the buzz you get from the gym far more helpful than being talked at in a diet club but the gym will fit easier around your family and other commitments - diet clubs are fixed times and difficult to adapt.

Not accurate for me either; at 312lbs my scale says my body fat is 47%... This calculator suggests I'm at 19.1%....
