I wear Adidas Climacools for pretty much everything... kickboxing, step, running, bosu classes, etc but I'm slowly transitioning to Merrell Barefoots. It's an entirely different type of training and it's taking me a while to get used to it. Some people can jump right into it but I am definitely not one of those people. I…

I think so. I started a new exercise program with a lot of weight training a couple months back and went up in weight and wouldn't budge for weeks. Then all of a sudden I dropped 5lbs :) Don't lose faith!

I'd say try out a few sessions, then decide. It all depends on the individual and what types of things motivate you. For me, it'd be a waste of money. I'd have more luck just securing a workout buddy. Awesome job on those first 10lbs :)

I just got back from an hour long "Bosu Chisel" class. Cardio + strength training :)
-
I'm 5'2.5" and 134 and I wear a small on top, unless there's "dedicated boob space" which means I'll need a medium. I also wear a size 4 in pants. In all fairness, I like my stuff fitted and I have relatively small hips.

^ this. Or boxing of some sort. The rotation works wonders.

That's kind of unfair. How do you know they didn't use hand sanitizer in the stall? Or that they aren't digging around in their purse for it on the way out? I do that sometimes. I find that some public washroom soaps dry my hands out really badly. If I happen to have sanitizer on me, I'd rather use that... but I'm also one…

I wore heels all day yesterday and was definitely feeling some pain this morning. I decided to go to the gym anyway and even though I felt it like no other for the first 10 minutes, I completely forgot about it for the entire time afterwards. Mind over matter! As far as I'm concerned, unless it's joint pain I'm only making…

Weight varies day to day. You could be retaining water, for any of several reasons (TOM, strength training, too much sodium, etc). Unless you ate about 13000 calories in 3 days, you did not gain 3lbs of fat. Just keep up the hard work and don't stress, it'll go away! :)

bump for later! some of these sound amazing

I remind myself that I always have more energy AFTER a workout so I'll be able to enjoy the rest of my night much more, as opposed to being a zombie on the couch. :)

If I didn't eat carbs, life wouldn't be worth living even if I had the perfect body :) I do calories in, calories out. Period. I try to make them a nice variety of things, but ultimately I just burn more calories than I take in. And I've lost 46lbs.

I'm actually fighting a really bad chest cold right now. I went without exercise altogether for about 5 days because I was too tired and my lung capacity was horrible. If it hadn't been so cold, I probably would have tried to go for a few walks at least. Today I forced myself to go to the gym even though I still have a…

I love pineapple and green olives. LOVE.

Whenever I do cardio I generally do it in Tabata format.
-
I have Merrell Barefoots that I'm going to start training in but I was thinking about Five Fingers too. Maybe I'll consider the Adidas instead :) I already love my Climacools!
-
I guess that makes sense. Or you could just go for a walk after you eat.
-
Not everyone gets a 12 inch loss - I think your results are fabulous :)
-
I have wide feet and just got the Merrell Lithe Glove. I adore them, but I'm biased because I can wear them to work since we carry them :P
-
When I had a soft tissue sprain in my foot I swam. You just need to be careful of that post-swimming appetite :)
-
Once a week, or once every two weeks. I was an everyday weigher but to be honest, I just started forgetting. I like it better this way because sometimes I get losses that I didn't even see coming.
-
Cardiokickboxing, hands down. I love when we're able to bust out the gloves and pads and make contact :)
-
Food. And willpower.
-
Constantly! Anything that fits within my daily calorie limit is fair game :D
-
No worries! It's great because she gives a lot of modifications to the moves :) And whether or not you do it for 30 consecutive days is entirely up to you... you can always utilize rest days if you're too sore!
