Hi, I have a very similar story including an over 75 lb. weight loss with Weight Watchers. My weight loss took me 4 years. Then, I gained 20 back. I do have a thyroid problem and take medication for it.. I attribute the slowness of my weight loss to my thyroid problem and my age (now 66). I figure the alternative to doing…

I go for a splurge now and then...say one meal in a weeks time or so. I think it slows my weight loss down, but helps me with my cravings, and helps me so I don't feel deprived. My husband enjoys those meals (usually out) also, and sometimes tells me I need a splurge.

I am well enough, after my dog bite incident, to head back to the pool! I am going to continue this as long as I can into the cooler months when the pool is closed. If they stop the water aerobics classes, then I will go and swim until the weather prevnets it. That is my September goal. I start in about an hour!

I would agree that the main focus at Weight Watchers is the food, for sure. I lost 76 pounds at WW and now have gained 20 back. Now on MFP to get that off. I am not much of a fitness buff at my age of nearly 66, but I do like water aerobics and swimming a lot. Also do some walking as well. I am trying to get the weight…

I persisted for over 4 years to loose 76 lbs and reach my goal weight with Weight Watchers, and I did it in my early 60's. If I can do it, it should be a little easier for you. The year is going to go by for you whether or not you are loosing weight. It will be better for you if you are loosing rather than staying the same…

I just joined too. I am a former Weight Watcher who finds the new program their doesn't work for me any more. So, I am going to try this. I lost 76 lbs over 4 years on WW, but now I have gained 20 back this spring and summer. Got to get it off!!
