  • Couscous and Quinoa are both grains that I love. Cucumbers, peppers, oranges, tomatos and apples are all staples in my diet. I love ezekiel bread and new cereals. Since i don't know what you're currently eating its hard to recommend new things.
  • Posts like this it helps if we can see your diary to make informed suggestions. You say you are eating back all if not more than your exercise calories. Are you using a HRM to get your calorie counts? MFP can be WAY over on calories given for exercise. Try only eating 1/2 your exercise calories. You said you're going over…
  • I looked at your diet and overall looks pretty good, so I'd say keep doing what you're doing. Perhaps watch your sodium intake? Sometimes with increased activity/food our bodies hold onto water. I'd give it at least another week before you start tweaking.
  • I would pick one or maybe two items that I REALLY enjoyed fried and have some of those, pass on the rest. You may find after starting your healthy journey that fried food jsut doesn't taste as good as it used to. Workout before... eat well the rest of the day and enjoy your friends!
  • I wouldn't say you are doing too much, the yoga can count as active recovery. If you feel great, keep doing it!
  • I got up at 6am to run this morning. It was still dark out and I really just wanted to stay in bed. I was still sleepy as I started my walk and warmup. However, within the first 5-10mins I was well awake and by the time I was done and the sun was up I was fully awake and ready to go. My point is that you may still be…
  • Oh, and when posting things like this its also helpful to open your diary so that we can look and see any possible triggers.
  • Okay, are you talking about overnight? You can't judge it on a day by day basis. ...the body does not deal with things immediately. There are all sorts of factors like sodium and such. That's why they recommend only weighing once a week. I gained 3lbs with PMS and it took me a week for it to disappear again (overnight)..…
  • yes, my body starts to look a little wierd at first... but it evened out. You lose in different places at different times. just keep going you'll be fine.
  • Add some avocado to your wraps, add some nuts to your yogurt. Add some cheese to your scrambled egg. Add some chocolate after any of that!
  • I'm in a medium top and size 10 pants but everyone's going to be different, different body types, muscle, fat etc... no two people similar.
  • Drinking more water will help wtih water retention because your body recognizes there is enough and doesn't have to hold onto extra in case it doesn't get anymore. The debate about whether it needs ot be pure water is controversial... but mostly beverages that don't have caffeine count towards your water.
  • That's great, its amazing how much we use food to self medicate and deal with our emotions. For me, overeating always allowed me to avoid what was really stressign me out. Then instead of worrying about whatever was going on, I could worry about the fact that I have overeaten. Its a tough habit to break but great job for…
  • You may be surprised.. good luck. Just be sure to use those calories wisely and get good, nutrient dense food!
  • If you are not losing weigh then I would suggest cutting back to 1/2 your exercise calories and see if that makes a difference.
  • i LOVE the biggest loser, although not a huge fan of this season. I watch all the weight loss shows.. can't get enough! you are not alone.
  • BMI Is not always a correct calculation of health because it doesn't take body fat into account. So, an elite football player will have a BMI that is obese but is clearly not, just has a lot of muscle. However, it would be a great goal to get down into a healthy BMI category and then worry about body fat percentage. My…
  • Don't be afriad to eat more. I am 5'5, eat around 1500 cals per day and lose. add in some high calorie items like nuts, avocados, butter and enjoy :)
  • Never tried (or heard of) honey milk but lowfat chocolate milk is one of the best recovery drinks out there.... perfect balance of carbs/protein!
  • I'm way better when I have my food planned out for the day. its when I don't know what I'm going to eat that cravings set in, I get too hungry and end up making back choices. So bottom line, totally helps me!
  • have to take my measurements at home!
  • If you're losing weight and you're within your calories I wouldn't worry about it. Fats like that are super healthy for you, so I say its good. Your skin, nails and hair are probably very happy for it!
  • Your body is amazing at cleansing itself.. no need to do this. Just give your body clean food it recognizes and it will know what to do with it.
  • Have you tracked your sodium at all? that can help.
  • It might help a little more if we could see your diary so we know what you're eating/earning for calories. Hard to give advice based on just what you've told us.
  • Okay, so you are really saying 50 to 100 calores form exercise? In that case I would recommend you increase your exercise. how much are you doing currently? 30mins biking/walking/running will usually earn me somewhere between 200-300 calories. I'm not sure if you can increase your activity but I think it would be an easy…
  • Nuts, avocado, full fat butter/cheese/milk.
  • Sadly, unlikely, probably mostly fluids that will come back once you start eating/drinking again. Anything's possible though!
  • Pork tenderloin, one cup of ketchup, one can diet soda (coke, pepsi etc). Cook on low for 6-7hrs, shred the pork.. tastes like BBQ.
  • Cinnamon is super good for you. Honey you get what you pay for. there are many benefits to honey but in order to get them you have to buy the more expensive, raw honey. Otherwise its just as processed as white sugar. Love the idea of honey, cinnamon tea for a cold. Sounds super soothing. I usually sleep really well but may…
