  • I don't hate the term "skinny fat" it has a meaning but i don't think it applies in your case.... i totally get what you're saying though! I have been 260 & it took a lot to get me moving so i honestly totally hear yah! It is awesome that you are moving.... there is no rush to get into lifting/muscle building right now.…

  • It does but you need to use commen sense & keep on going with it. It's mostly all in your attitude! That being said I have lost weight on my own & on MFP & it comes off much faster with seemingly less effort when i use MFP!

  • When I joined a gym a few years ago & they took my measurements... when they did my waist the lady asked me to bend at the waste to the side. When you bend to the side you see the waist indent & measure there. I hope that's kinda helpful! *edited for spelling*
