  • I just did a quick-add for a 100 calorie pack. I'm too lazy to go look for it and I already know what the calorie count is. Also when I make something at home that is complicated or unusual, I usually quick-add an estimate. I enter my booze, just because I usually have a glass of wine or a hard cider and that's easy to…
  • You can take whatever root veggies you have and roast them on high heat with rosemary, red pepper flakes and a drizzle of olive oil. I just had this tonight with sweet potatoes, carrots and celery root. You can also use white potatoes, parsnips...pretty much anything that grows in the ground. This is so good in winter. I…
  • I always eat back at least some of my exercise calories. I find that I am more hungry on workout days, so that show me my body is sending and my mind is receiving the right signals.
  • @kellylara93 The whole point of MFP is to keep you sensible. What's the point of coming on here if you are just going to eat as little as possible. That is not healthy.
  • We don't all get *clinically* depressed. I'm not trying to take away from OP because I get what she is saying but I just wanted to jump in to say there is a difference between "my boyfriend broke up with me, I'm so depressed" and "I can't see the point of living. Let me just grab the baby and jump out this window. That…

I know the science is mixed on this, but sweet taste makes me crave sugar. I'd rather put real sugar in my coffee or tea and just have a cup. I tried drinking diet soda but it…
  • If you are craving a potato, have it. If I am craving something and try to deny it, I wind up eating the alternative and the thing I was craving in the first place. So bake a potato if you want one and don't got crazy slathering it with butter or sour cream and you'll be ok.
  • Where are you located? I crochet, at a beginning level, so I could make scarves. (My hats always come out wonky).
  • Make sure you are well-hydrated. I'll get wicked headaches when I don't drink enough water.
  • I can't say I know exactly what you are going through, but I know what it's like to binge and have an unhealthy view of food. Have you considered counseling? A trained therapist, especially one that works with cognitive behavioral therapy, can help you "re-frame" you thoughts. Also they can help you to get in touch with…
