"quick add" calories.
I always assume it's booze!

haha, I add my booze. I usually use it when I search for something and the calories that come up are not what they should be (under or over), quicker then adding the recipe!0
-
LOL haha well I don't generally notice but for me, it's usually something like a marinade (like one you mix with oil, water and such, McCormicks..) I usually note it...but lately I've been lazy0

I immediately revoke their friendship. Can't be tolerating any of this 'quick add' nonsense.0
-
....I wish it was booze....0

This made me snort out loud for some reason...I've only done quick add one time, and I don't remember why, but I felt like it would be assumed that I had eaten something so horrible, like extra cheese pizza topped with high fat hamburger meat and a pile of salt with a side order of chocolate covered hot dogs.0

I try to be fairly specific with booze. It's sort of like bragging.
For me quick add is usually when I log something out of the database which I don't fully trust, and my gut feel tells me to quick-add a few more calories to keep the accounting fairly honest.0 -
I always assume it's the at a friend's house or restaurant situation when you just don't know what all is in the food you are eating.0

Soylent green.

I just always assume it's a restaurant not in the database. BUT now I will assume booze.0

When MFP starts putting traditional Scandinavian delicacies in the database, I will stop quick-adding.0
-
I've never assumed, but I've never used it, either....0

Dear Tragedy of the Commons,
Why don't you do the work?
Cheers.

Sweets like donuts/chocolate/cake...0

I quick added a high-end estimate on things like the All U Can Eat Super Happy Terrific Family King Chinese Buffet, but now I just don't bother logging on days when I don't want to bother logging every last thing I eat.0
-
I used it when I went over on cals the day before. I used the quick add calories facility on the following day's diary to allow for the calories I had gone over by the previous day.0

I have a special section for booze. I take it seriously.
I don't really pay attention to that, when I use it its for things I am too lazy too search for but know about how many calories it is.0 -
When I use it, it's because I've eaten something with lots of ingredients that I don't want to build in to a recipe or list individually, usually at a restaurant, etc.
Sometimes I'll quick add 1000 calories when I have McDs at lunch.0 -
Man juice.0

I always just assume it's chocolate covered marzipan.
Why? Oh, no particular reason....:blushing:0 -

If I had any clue how it was made, I would. Plus, I eat it maybe twice a year. Not worth the effort for me. :flowerforyou:0 -

This^^. Or I have a recipe that I calculated the calories for previously and don't feel like inputting into the recipes feature on here.0 -

now I want some of that.0 -

Love this - chocolate covered hot dogs!!!!!!!0 -
I do it to guess-timate what I ate when I'm too lazy to things up but I always note it.0
-
for me, if i order a salad and it has cheese of unknown origin and four black olives, i'm not gonna try to log those specifically. so i quick add. or if something in the db doesn't seem right, i'll quck add. or if i have a peice of garlic bread just to annoy the dog (i usually give it to him), i'll quick add.0
-
I just did a quick-add for a 100 calorie pack. I'm too lazy to go look for it and I already know what the calorie count is.
Also when I make something at home that is complicated or unusual, I usually quick-add an estimate. I enter my booze, just because I usually have a glass of wine or a hard cider and that's easy to find.0 -
Man juice.

Man juice doesn't count...it's so *hard* to get it out to begging with that I've used the calories by the time i get to enjoy it!0 -
When I do it, its usually something I can't find in the database or something that has so many ingredients it would take me 20 minutes to find them all in the database.0
-
I just assumed it was a sinister plot put out by the MFP police to take over this sight. Oh the irony. Oh wait I gotta go quick add something.0
