  • It's 1/2 cup prepared, but honestly beens don't get much bigger after you soak them. As for using dried beans for cold dishes, you need to soak, cook, and cool them. Except for black beans, which can be used after being soaked, without cooking them.
  • I use to run in my Puma's before I got my Vibram's. Puma's are not a bad running shoe. I still use mine for Zumba, but I love minimalist running too much to go back to them for running. Overall, Pumas are a good show in my experience :)
  • Hey green team, sorry I didn't log in for last week. I had way too much stuff going on to track my food (excuses, I know), but I am down a couple of pounds :) I'm back in it now! What are we tracking for this week? I love the exercise challanges, exercise makes me feel so good :)
  • I just got them, but I love them so far! I've just worn them around the house, but took them out for 1 3/4 miles today, and they were awesome. My toes are a little sore because I'm not used to having to use them when I run. Thanks for the advice. It makes sense that as long as I'm not pounding my feet into the ground when…
  • I also love the idea of a water drinking challange. I really struggle with that all of the time. I never find the time for it, so it would be a good thing to be aware of for me. I'm excited to see the chart for the week to see how we all did! Alibaba0310, thanks so much for doing all the organizing for this :)
  • alibaba0310, I messaged you my results for the week (I think that's what I was supposed to do.) If you need anything else, just let me know. Have a great weekend everyone :)
  • Amy - I belong to the Y as well. Do you love it? For me it's an awesome motivation to work out because I get an hour of quiet (I have a 3 year old and a 10 month old - both boys - sometimes life is really loud) I haven't made it to they gym in two days bc I've been super sick. I also ate mac & cheese (eek). I'm starting to…
  • I go to zumbacalories.com and look it up then create a new exercise for that amount
  • We did Disney World for the 1st time this April, and I agree with a lot of the other posters. Take a water bottle, you'll need it. Who wants to waste $ and calories on soda, ect. Also, bring whatever food you want into the parks. My husband and I packed lots of Luna bars and lean beef jerky, that way we weren't tempted to…
  • Also checking in for the green team... I burned 602 calories during 50 very sweaty minutes of Zumba (it would have been an hour, but I was late bc the child watch at my gym was INSANE). Go green! Tomorrow I will be doing a Core Ball class. I'm not entirely sure what that is, but I'm excited.
  • Sorry I'm a little late posting this. My starting weight is 251
  • I also just discovered the recipie section. Just input each of your ingredients (the total amount in the recipie, not just what you ate) and then fill in the number of servings it makes based off of what you ate (makes 3 servings if you ate 1/3 of it). It caluculates everything for you, and it's saved there for leftovers…
  • I want to play! :)
  • I am seriously the least coordinated person I know, and I LOVE Zumba! Most instructors will tell you it takes 5-6 classes to really get the hang of it, which I've found to be true. Don't worry about feeling silly because everyone is usually to busy worrying about their own steps to even notice what you're doing. When in…
  • olive oil ... drizzle a little over your salads... yum
