  • Expresso Vodka in coffee is awesome!!
  • Actually, I wasn't asking for me, as I have already reached my goal and am on maintenence. I was asking because my sister asked ME, and I had never heard of it, or knew anyone who had tried it. I've been trying to get her on MFP, but she's resistant. Thanks for the replies!
  • In my opinion, Rodney Yee's yoga dvd's are the best. He has many available, from beginners to advanced students.
  • I don't get this either... why would anyone who is trying to eat healthier and lose weight even buy it?
  • I've got to share this with my friends/family - what a hoot!
  • Thanks for the link! I think I'll be trying those out

  • Can you explain how you do chair crunches? I do the regular kind, and even though I try not to, I always strain my neck. Bebe

  • Latortilla Factory has a low fat, low sodium one that is only about 120 mg sodium I think. Bebe
  • My guilty pleasure too! Haven't seen any of this new season - waiting for my new tv to be delivered!
  • I just read today that it takes your body 5 hours to return to normal temperature after exercise.
  • I bought a few of those little bags with small carrots & sugar snap peas mixed together. When I want a late night snack, that's what I eat. The crunch seems to satisfy me, and hardly any calories - 35 for 3 oz I think.
  • I always count it all - I figure it helps to make up for other little things I might "over-measure" for! Also, my dog nearly always has to have the last bite or 2 of whatever I am eating - I don't deduct for that either. Bebe (Another Bonnie Jo :noway: )

  • Okay, so I'm ignorant of theses things :embarassed: What is a c25k podcast, and what do I need to download & use it? BeBe
  • I'm on wk2d2... and having a tougher time this week. But I don't have proper shoes yet (this wknd!) and my legs are really starting to complain. I'm going to stick with it though! Btw, I am starting at age 60 during a Texas summer. :noway:
  • Welcome! With your great positive attitude and pro-active mindset, you can't help but succeed in your plan. To honor your aunt, I am "borrowing" her 6 point daily guide also.
  • What kind of shoe would you recommend for someone who is just starting out, and doesn't want to put a lot of $$ into shoes? I'm not 100% sure I will stick with it yet... Any suggestions will be appreciated. I will be using them for walking and slow jogging for the time being. TIA... Bebe
  • After looking at your diary, I would suggest upgrading the quality of your food. Get rid of the candy, cookies & white bread - and replace them with nutrient rich foods. Just a suggestion...
  • Hola Chica! Welcome to MFP and to a great group of supporters, advisors, and friends!

  • Call Deer Park and ask them? Yes, I would keep my water in the fridge...
  • The trick with the green bags is you have to wipe the condensation out of the bags everyday, to keep the produce as dry as possible. If you do that, they work pretty well.
  • Get some of those "green bags" they sell in the produce section. They make produce last MUCh longer - even bananas!!
  • I drank Diet Coke for years - could not tolerate the sugar in regular coke, and thought it tasted "syrupy" as you said. Anyway, I never thought I would give up my diet coke, but after I stopped eating the things that I always had with it - it was easy to give up. I don't even miss it. Ever. I drink a lot of bottled diet…

  • Your 140's and I have been making some serious eye contact, and I just know we will be together soon. I know you won't mind, since you are already in another relationship with 130's - no matter how brief it might be. Bebe

  • I'm originally from Indiana too - grew up in South Bend then lived for 10 years in Franklin. Moved to Texas 5 years ago... BIG MISTAKE. I miss Indiana sooooo much!
  • A lot of people have to drink diet coke, pepsi, etc because they cannot tolerate sugar - diabetics and hypoglycemics for instance. I know, because I was that woman who would eat half a pizza with diet coke. :blushing:
  • I use mine every day. It's just easier than guessing at amounts, plus it trains your eye to learn what a healthy portion looks like. Like Dwight said - all those little extra dabs & bites can add up very quickly.
  • Welcome to MFP! I'm sure you will find it a friendly and helpful place. And the Message Boards are very informative, as well as fun! Bebe
  • :::bump::: so funny... and I'll need to read this later.
