24?

The whole article is ruined by this line. If you started binge eating because you were hungry it would kind of be true, but you would get fat from binge eating not starvation. Have you ever seen a starving person? They are not worried about how much weight they are gaining, your metabolism can only drop so much. It has to…

I can't tell if you are joking or not, but i'll respond anyways. BMI is useless, and in no way would show if she lost muscle or fat.

For every post on here saying starvation mode is a legit concern there is a post showing that it isn't. Do some research. You can make your own opinions. But don't just read post on here and take them as absolute truths.
-
How it is workable??? People go on extended fasts 30+ days and claim to have more energy than they have ever had before. Starvation mode is a ridiculous thing for most people to worry about. Most people on this site are overweight if not very overweight, dipping below 1200 calories for a couple days isn't goint to hurt…

But I should mention I do agree with Rangersteve on some of it. There are so many factors on your metabolism that it is too complicated to worry about 15 calories. Like he was saying, what if you happen to eat a fiberone candy bar, yes it is processed but it has fiber so it will take longer to digest. What if you ate it…
-
Actually people are saying that, and to a point I agree. Calories are calories, and that was the point of the "twinkie diet" to show that weight loss is about calories in calories out. If you burned 6000 calories in a day and went and ate 5000 calories of mayo you WOULD lose weight, it's fact. But I don't think the…

I've read many articles about how diet soda is horrible for you. It may give you cancer, but you know what else is bad for your health? Being fat. I love carbonation, and I love diet soda. What doesn't give you cancer nowadays?

Well to play a "sport" professionally, it has to be a sport. If that makes sense. I think your answer kind of answers itself, fishing, darts, bowling, bodybuilding aren't sports so of course they aren't athletes.

UMMMM???? What? Did anyone understand this? There were like 6 different guys and everybody has a different boyfriend or something. Way to confusing.

And how is having access to the kind of food you want not a freedom? Are you serious? So is being able to choose what car you want to drive not a freedom? Is the material of your clothing not a freedom? Is the choice to send your kids to private school not a freedom? Explain to me how choosing our foods isn't a huge…
-
Wow you obviously don't get the point. It is bigger than people being overweight, it is our freedoms. If we start taxing more things where does the line get drawn. And do you really think upping our junk food by even ten percent, which would be a huge tax, would really stop anybody from buying them?
-
But it is kinda hard to deny that according to that definition, taxing junk foods would be an infringement on our freedoms.
-
Haha I had a friend live in New Zealand and when he came back he would toast bread butter it then put Top Ramen noodles on it, haha it is delicous and he said they ate it all the time over there. I really think it is portions and our lifestyles, europeans are much healthier and they eat processed foods at almost every meal.
-
I like what ^^^ she said (Cindi). I know this is about food, but it applies to illegal drugs. The people that do illegal drugs do illegal drugs, might as well legalize them and we wont have to pay for law enforcement and save millions of dollars. How many people don't smoke marijuana because it's illegal? Few, i don't…
-
No! We get taxed too much already. This is the last thing we need, as the man said before "sin taxes" are ridiculous. Let people make their own decisions. Make it so that we don't pay for their medical bills then it wont matter if they are unhealthy.
-
Seriously you are annoying me now. Don't read it if you don't want too. Wow
-
And how is that a good thing? We can't choose to eat a happy meal now? And we punish McDonalds for Americans being overweight? I understand the whole insurance premium problem with it, but that needs to be figured out separately. The last thing we need to do is take away our freedoms.
-
Ugh are you kidding me? That's exactly what we need to do is tax people on more things. How about we educate people on nutrition and let them make their own decisions about what to eat. If I want to eat processed foods I should be able too, we do live in America.
-
You will not go into starvation mode! Biggest myth ever. Your metabolism is affected by the amount of calories you consume but not enough to make it shut down if you stop eating. You think your body doesn't have to function just because you stopped eating? How come anorexics still lose weight? How come people on fasts lose…

I like when a girl has one

I could be wrong but I believe for every 3500 calorie deficit is one lb of fat. So you're deficit would have to be that times 4 to lose 4 a week.
-
And when did I say anything about Deli Turkey?
-
Ok, first off. This is not the first time this has happened but why the heck does everyone call me dude? Is it because I'm young? Don't. Don't call me dude. If i called you Girl or chick that would be disrespectful. I don't disrespect you so don't disrespect me. Second. Instant oatmeal is proccesed but I dont eat that.…

You need to eat immediately after workouts. And you need to find something that doesn't upset your stomach to eat before.
-
Personally I wouldn't. I don't count the olive oil i use when I cook chicken or eggs.
-
You can't choose where you lose fat. You have to lose it everywhere.
-
What I ultimately had a problem with Atkins was that I can't see people eating that way forever. Just as eating 1500 calories of Twinkies forever wouldn't be very filling and would be hard to maintain a low calorie diet on them. If you are willing to eat the way you do and it works for you then more power to you, but I…
-
Well I disagree. The twinkie diet??? The man who did it got quite a bit healthier. Read this article. Its funny that you say little debbies because he included those in his diet. http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html
-
I take it back then. I really haven't done much research on either, so I will take your word for it. Thank you. The main point I was trying to get at is what you mentioned. When it has become a crisis situation I have no problem with a 500 calorie diet.
