Jay Robb protein shake that I freeze for about an hour and a half to make it more 'shake' like and an apple or some other fruit & berries. Takes me awhile to drink the shake and keeps me full until lunch. Breakfast is at 7 a.m. and lunch is about 12:30.

I always either flavor my water or buy the Fruit2O flavored water. If it helps me drink MORE water that can only be a good thing. I'm just not a fan of plain ol water - bottled or otherwise.

I can easily gain 4-6 lbs in the days leading up to that TOTM, as soon as I start I can drop 5 lbs overnight! Grow your own and can them for the winter? May sound old fashioned but it's so easy to can tomatoes, corn, etc. The kids can and should help out with this. Do you have room for chickens? Free eggs?? I have friends that have chickens and I love fresh eggs!

I don't think you can totally eliminate something you truly like, i.e. carbs. The key is moderation. If you want that piece of cake then cut yourself a small slice and have a bite.
