  • Hi Everyone, I know alot of you already. My name is Mel, I'm 28 and from Taupo, but lived in Dunedin for a while when I was at Uni and that is where I met my lovely Fiance. I live in a regional Mining town in Queensland called Mackay where I do IT for an engineering company. Im getting married in 3 months and am as of…
  • You dont have to stay in but budget your drinks and pre plan. I usually do a really high cal exercise activity and then eat really clean that day. So lets say I make 550 cals from a class. i have a really healthy brekkie lunch and dinner. (800 - 1000 cals) I also make sure I go to the supermarket and get food i love but is…
  • This EXACTLY
  • Definitely is! you still get a treat in a controlled manner. I would have scoffed half of everything.
  • I;ve only just started embracing mine. I wear alot of dresses that are fitted at the top half and loose from the waist down. Shows off my tiny waist but doesnt cling to my thighs. However all the training I've been doing, my pear is getting less pearish :)
  • I use a heart rate monitor, but to give you an idea I didn 8 mins and burnt 84 calories, of course its different for everyone but this is where a heart rate monitor really comes in handy
  • Finished Week 5 Day 3 last night (3 days late I might add) and it was alot easier than I expected. I had to slow down on the way back but I am running 4 min km on the way out and 5 min km on the way back. I want to keep ym speed consistent at 4min km. But Im not quite there yet.
  • Awesome Thanks Guys. Everything you have said so far I already have from before except the mirror. We will be working out together so can watch each others form. And yep getting a chipup bar next week as we are going to do the P90X system
  • Thanks for that everyone. We will be buying some equipment this week. An adjustable bench, adjustable dumbells and weights bar and plates. This will be good as we will both be able to use it rather than having to buy a set for me and a set for him.
  • Do you mean just P90 and not P90x which is what Im interested in. Or are both not good for strength training.
  • Working out is the one thing that makes me feel better. Food does for a few seconds, but a massive run, punching a punching bag or screaming at it if necessary take a lot more of the stress away.
  • its summertime in my world and I live in a tropical climate, so have to run when its almost dark. Finished week 5 day 2 and smashed it. Really looking forward to the long run tomorrow! I'll let you know how it goes.
  • When I was stuck I added more strength training. And concentrated on measurements rather than weight. I also needed to eat more as well so I changed out my trim milk and low fat foods for the same amounts of normal fat food. that way I am upping my cals without having to eat more. I also changed up my exercise, I now run,…
  • I love cold breezes on my skin when its hot. I love diving under water and listening to how quiet it is I love having a beer after a really hard day doing manual labour (renovations etc) I love putting on brand new dresses
  • I'm exactly the same! it's so not attractive, some people move as far away from me as possible on the running path. Oh well. At least we are doing it.
  • I've lost 12 pounds and it has only started to show in my butt and thighs. i lose all of my weight from my upper half first but eventually its starts coming off there too.
  • Wow this is great. I find this too, that you do get into a rhythm and all of a sudden it gets easier. My issue is when I get to a particular point in my run I know its pretty close to the end and my body and lungs start to hurt. but im ony up to day two tomorrow. eek.
  • Now that is awesome!
  • Personally I always make sure that I work out alot on days I want to go out for dinner. Maybe dont have a starter and for your main, eat half of your meal and take the other half home. But also if you go over your cals for one day its not really that bad as long as you get back on track the next day, drink HEAPS of water…
  • Im starting week five tonight. Im not worried about tonight, but I definitely am worried about that 20min run at the end!!!
  • I dont like when food is mixed together. Like I love corn, peas and carrots if they are separate but hate those peas, corn and carrot vegie mixes. I like marshmallow, nuts and raisins, but hate rocky road. I like raisins and sultanas but hate them mixed in a cake.
  • I do IT work for a mining company. You should see if your hubby can get into that. Definitely worth it.
  • I'm an IT Technician Computer Geek Extreme
  • Tread very carefully, if it doesnt work out you can risk losing your best friend.
  • My personal trainer, seconded this

  • I'm on week 4, finished day 2 yesterday. It killed me this time though. Had a massive lunch which was a really bad idea before a run. One more to go though and then onto week 5 whoop whoop
  • Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: 470 (dog walk, C25k Week 3, Power knee Challenge) Tues: 535 (Run, Boot Camp) Wed: 442 (Dog Walk, C25k Week 3) Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total: 1447 Left to go: 2053 have a dog walk a full Boot Camp session tonight (Tuesdays was the first one and is always the easiest) should put me back on track.
  • I run about 5 - 5:30pm. I finish work at 4pm take my dogs for a 30min walk and then when i get back go for a run. It's slightly cooler but not too dark that its dangerous to be running.
