Hi and welcome. I believe your approach is right on - healthy lifestyle and slow, steady weightloss. It works for me so far. Good luck, I think you'll find this site really useful.

Wow - you rock girl. You look amazing and younger! Well done - what an inspiration you are.

1 if it's even that high. Horrendous domestic stress - the only plus is that I can't eat anything.

I miss a couple of glasses of wine in the evening. And, potato chips, I so miss potato chips. Why can't these things be fat/sugar/calorie free - it's just not fair?

I'm curvy - much bigger hips and thighs with a narrow waist. I love 7 for all Mankind. Many of the cuts fit and suit my shape. I mainly go for bootcut or straight but I also have a pair of skinny for wearing in long boots. Good luck.

Laughed so hard, I just gave myself a bit of a workout! Brilliant! (and so true)

Yep - another pear here! First places the weight goes on - hips and thighs. Last place the weight comes off - hips and thighs. My upper body feels like it has very little fat (I can feel my ribs) but, still can't get my butt and legs into my jeans! Just the way I am :o(

If I need to taste something sweet, I find diet soda helps satisfy the craving.

I also love soup. Sometimes I add chickpeas or rice or even a little pasta. For shop bought, in the UK, I prefer Baxters Healthy options - great vegetable and lentil choices that are tasty and filling though, best of all is homemade. Its so easy to make and there are endless variations. My favourites include: spiced…

My pic says that I was delighted to be at the wedding of my lovely Sister-in-Law - and fit into a size 10 LBD.

I think that's a good idea so long as you keep it in check. I firmly believe that you shouldn't completely deny yourself the things you enjoy. If you avoid them altogether, there is a big risk you may just blow the diet one day. A little of what you enjoy, built into your allowance helps to avoid the big mistakes.

I want to be skinny and I know I can be skinny and healthy. So, I picked my goal weight as just a little lower than I know I used to be when I was comfortably fitting in my clothes.

Add Pilates into your exercise routine. Developing the 'band' of core muscles will firm up the lower abdomen as well as giving you essential spinal support.
-
Yay - well done for resisting cake! That was a huge temptation.
-
No way was I buying/replacing my clothes. Whenever possible I buy quality that is classic and lasts therefore I felt no option but to get my lazy fat *kitten* back to a size that would fit into my clothes.

What is coconut flour - sounds interesting but I don't think it's something we regularly use in the UK?
-
I'd love to lose 8lb by Christmas - slinkly little dress time! Woohoo

Well done you! You are doing great and looking fabulous - stick with it x

I keep some homemade chunky vegetable soup on the go during colder weather. Its really filling and super healthy. Having oatmeal (porridge) for breakfast keeps me feeling satisfied until lunchtime so, I don't feel the need to snack in the mornings. When I really do want something, I eat a couple of slices of Ryvita with…

I like the sound of oven roasted chickpeas - maybe with some black pepper or cajun spices. I will try that tomorrow.

I've found the site really useful and the support is great. My weight has gradually reduced - slowly but steadily.

Yeah - I confess to being hooked. But hey, there are much worse things to be addicted to!

Fabulous picture.

Great post. I also find that when I tempted to eat something that I shouldn't - looking up the calorie content will often be enough to put me off. Alternatively, if I just have to have the naughty stuff, I work the rest of my calories around it so that I don't go over my daily allowance. It takes discipline but I'd rather…

I also made a big pot of soup today. I always know when Summer is over because I get the urge to make soup! Similar to above but, I use a little amount of Rapeseed oil to sweat the veg and always use fresh - whatever is in the fridge really. Today's soup is: Onion, swede, carrot, leeks, potato, parsnip made up with…

50g of oatmeal made with water, 25g of sultanas, cinammon and nutmeg. If I need a 'sugar' fix then I add a teaspoon of Manuka honey. Delicious and, keeps me satisfied for hours.

Hi and welcome.

I am actually not a cute, small monkey!

What a brilliant post. I have male friends who readily admit that they prefer their wives/girlfriends to have some body fat. Unfortunately, the media continues to present us with unrealistic images of very slim women. Continually imprinting the idea that this is what we are meant to look like. This can result in women…

A glass of wine or if I'm really in need of a treat, the Florentine pizza from Domino's! Yum!
