Get in there and do it! Most people in the gym are in there for one thing! Put their time in and get out. Enjoy yourself. Stay motivated! And check in here daily. Ask for help when needed and don't forget to eat right and do your cardio!

If your planning on running a 5k invest in a heart rate monitor. Learn what a good training heart rate would be for you and try to maintain that HR on a run. Don't worry about speed. The speed will come. Remember any cardio sustained longer than 30 minutes puts you in the fat burning zone! Good luck. Add me if you like. I…

Lots of people here have been in that boat. Good luck. Don't be afraid to ask questions or advice. Add me if you would like.

Ok. Well I will definitely have to consider what I'm going to write about.

I think "giving up" puts a negative spin on lent. I try to add something during lent. Like wishing 3 people good morning every day. That way it's positive.

During my run and circuit workout.

I was in South Carolina last night for work and the humidity was killing me even though it was only about 60! I was burning up!

Thank u or posting this. I needed it today. It's one of those days where I know I've put the work in but I'm questioning if it's enough.

I'm not an expert but the key that completely changed my running was a Heart Rate Monitor. I use a Garmin 110. There are newer ones with more options but for me it is perfect. Figure out your training heart rate zone. Which is 60 to 80 percent of you max. The general rule of thumb for max is 220 minus your age. when you…

I usually get hungry right before bed. That's when I grap some Greek yogurt or cottage cheese. I also het a handful of almonds or walnuts. This helps fuel me while I sleep. And usually the yogurt eases my sweet tooth.

Ice those knees!

It most certainly does. For starters I suggest using a different shoe store. The running store by me allows you to try your shoes for several weeks and you can return them if you don't like them. Obviously you must be able to articulate what the problem is. I was using a shoe that I believed fit me well and I was running 3…

Very true! I second ur statement about losing weight!

I burned 730 according to my garmin HRM doing a cardio circuit with weights. Using 30 second intervals. My average HR was 140.
-
You look great! Well done!
-
Add me. I'm trying to lose another 30 also!
-
You look great and are truly an inspiration.

What type of fitness routine are you using in the gym? That may play a big role. Perhaps doing circuit training would help. A HRM is key to that. Good luck!
