Hi Crystal and welcome! MFP is a great place to keep track of you food and exercise, also a great place to 'meet' people with the same struggles and issues that will help to keep you motivated on your journey to finding the healthy you. I wish you the best of luck, and feel free to add me if you like.

So agree!!! And thank you. Sometimes on this journey to being healthier we need that reminder that we are beautiful as long as we are healthy!

Hi and welcome, I originally started here last August, but I wasn't really committed to what I know I need to do to reach my goals. I started back a few weeks ago and am being more honest with myself and what I eat. I also am learning a new way of eating as I recently found out I am gluten intolerant, so a change in what…

I am in Canada and just in the past couple of months gluten free chex and rice krispies are now in the local grocery stores. The honey nut chex are one of my favorites. I was just recently given a book for learning to live gluten free and in it is a granola recipe that I plan to make very soon as one of my favorite…

I am in Canada, so far for me I have found a few places I can go. Montana's Steakhouse has an allergy list as well and are very good with gluten free options. Boston Pizza offers a gluten free pizza - which is pretty good I also have eaten at Wendy's, I stick to a plain baked potato and chili I have also been to Swiss…

I just went to check it out, and I feel tired just watching it! I think once I feel stronger and lose a few more pounds I will give that a try though. I might have to keep 911 on speed dial

Hi Verlyn! I started her last August, but wasn't ready for the change I guess so I was not very good at doing what I know I need to. So I just restarted about 10 days ago. I have about 58lbs I would like to say goodbye too. Feel free to add me if you like!

My DH is very supportive most of the time. I do most of the cooking, and he is fine with all the meals I prepare, and also is working towards a healthy lifestyle. I have offered to make some separate versions of meals I prepare as I have to eat gluten free and don't think he should have to go without just because of me,…

Thank you so much for the tips and advice!!! I am on my 5th day of being GF, and can't believe the difference. I no longer have the constant headache, the stomach pains are much less and I don't feel nearly as bloated as I did. I also can feel some of my energy coming back, I don't feel the need for an afternoon nap :) On…

I am very new to the being gluten free and am still trying to adjust to it and have lots to learn. I did do some searching and found this recipe for GF yorkshire puddings I haven't tried them yet, but they got great reviews. 115 g gluten-free self-raising flour 142 ml milk 142 ml water (half milk and half water) 1 pinch…

I first joined in August but kept falling of the wagon, but am now working at doing my best to reach my goals, which I know if I work at it I will do!! Good luck and friend request on the way…

Thank you all so much!! I really appreciate the advice. My mother almost always gives me a gift certifcate for books for Christmas so this year I think I will invest in one of those cookbooks. It really is overwhelming trying to figure this all out, with some help and guidence though I am sure I will manage.

Hi and welcome! This site really is great. I find when I don't track I have the bad habit of just pretending I didn't eat it  So for me it is the best way to stay on track. And all the motivation and support you will find here really helps as well. Good luck and feel free to add me if you like.

I don't have the best coordination, but I figure I am in my own home so I don't have to worry about asking a total fool of myself.

Hi Emily! Your story sounds very much like mine. I did Weight Watchers and lost just over 30lbs then they changed to the points plus and I didn't lose another ounce! I got frustrated and quit, now 20 of those 30 lbs found their way back. So I am also here to start over again! Good luck and feel free to add me if you want.

I am 46 a wife and a mother of 3, step-mother of 2 and Nana to grandsons and I know I am not old, but there sure are days lately that I feel it. I know the biggest reason for that is this extra weight. Now is the time to do something about it, that s why I am glad I have found MFP. I have recently set up our basement so my…
