I am restarting again as well. I did lose about 18 lbs last year but have gained some of it back as I took some time 'off' to deal with other issues. I reset all my numbers yesterday to reflect my new starting numbers. I am also looking for ways to keep motivated..feel free to add me

Yummy! Going to try this one for sure.

HI there! Remember you are doing this for you and you can do it. There will be days when you just want to give up but you need to remember you are worth it and you can do it! I don't have all the answers, I als have tried every 'diet' out there with some success only to fall back into old habits. This time I am making a…

I love love love greek yogurt! and key lime is my new favorite. I am in Canada and we don't have as big a selection of the yoplait ones where I am. I was eating the source 50 calorie ones that are pretty good. I recently switched to the oikos 100 cal ones which are amazing and that is where I discovered my love of the key…

Hi Sweety, I am like you - I have lost weight with WW (more than once). I just recently gave up my membership with them as it just didn't seem to be working anymore. So I decided to come back here and feeling re-motivated to reach my goals. There are some great people on here to have as 'friends' and I find that really…

HI! You can friend me as well if you like. I was away from here for the 6 months or so, but I am back on track again and my goal is to get on here at least once a day!

Yesterday I could have said none but last night DH picked up a french vanilla and an mocha almond crunch! :(

LOL I know what you mean about rolling down the windows. This time of year, one minute I have the heated seats on and the next I am rolling down the window. I even have to keep the window in the bedroom open at night. When I wake up over heated and pushing blankets off I look over and there is my husband with the blankets…

Have a wonderful time!!! Nothing exciting for me - staying close to home but looking forward to have a house full of family on Christmas day.

I am there with you as well! Thanks for all the tips. I am 47 and was told this past February I am in peri-menopause. I have never had what you would call a regular or easy cycle, but now it is nuts! I never know for sure when it is even going to happen. Sometimes I go 2-3 months with nothing then BAM there it is will full…

Congratulations on reaching your goal!!! That is so awesome :flowerforyou: That will be motivation enough to manage all the upcoming Christmas functions.

Just remember your goals, don't set unrealistic expectations and enjoy yourself!!
-
I so agree!! This can be a challenge without the unrealistic expectations of ones self or others. Everyone needs to realize this is about being healthy and taking care of yourself, and not not eating like a bird or exercising until you are ready to drop. I know I am no 'role model' as I have been struggling with this for a…

I am looking forward to my house being full of family on Christmas day for dinner! For the past 6 years I have had everyone to my house, so this should help me control the food intake at least a little bit since I am the one doing the preperations and cooking. I can't really say I am dreading anything about it other than…

Good morning from New Brunswick!!

Hi! This is a great place to find motivation and friends to help encourage you to reach your goals. I have a bad habit starting and stopping here, but I am on a roll right now - well at least much better than I have done in the past. It sounds like you have some real challenges, but don't let that stop you, it may take…

I am in Canada and our Thanksgiving was last month. I had everyone to our house for dinner and did all the cooking so that I was in control of what was in the meal. This was my first big get together since having to go gluten free and I am pleased to say it was a great success! I did the whole meal gluten free! I did have…

I have never had quinoa, but having been wanting to try it since I found out about my gluten intolerance. I was never sure exactly what to do with it, but I am going to try some of your recipes for sure. I will add it to my grocery list this week!

You look amazing!

I have yet another busy day at work, but I have taken this Friday off so I will have a 4 day weekend! So I am so looking forward to that. Today I plan on getting out of the office at noon (instead or working right through it like I have been doing lately) and going for a nice brisk walk to re-energize for the afternoon. I…

Happy Anniversary jennm72 - enjoy  I am not sure that I am having anything "special' today, but I brought left over chili with me for lunch today, which is a treat for me since I have salad most days. Supper is still not decided as it will have to be something rather quick to put together since by the time we get…

Thank you so much for this! I am like you - I could not have chocolate covered almonds in my house right now - they would not be safe. They are one of those things I just can't leave alone. But I will be looking for these.
