I joined this sight several months ago, but I haven't been loggging on as much as I should. I had total knee replacement surgery May 15 2012, and I'm still trying to recover from that. I can walk over a mile now, which is good. Plus we've moved in the past couple of months, and I'm still trying to get the house in shape. I have a few boxes left to unpack yet. My children (grown-ups) are a great motivator for me. They go walking with me, and they encourage me to eat better. But other then that, I still lack motivation. My metabolism is shot, and I know alot of that has to do with the heart meds I'm on. I can't get my target heart rate like I should when working out, because the meds actually slow my heart down. So I am going to my cardiologist next month and I'm asking him what I can do to help myself lose weight. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi! This is a great place to find motivation and friends to help encourage you to reach your goals.
I have a bad habit starting and stopping here, but I am on a roll right now - well at least much better than I have done in the past.
It sounds like you have some real challenges, but don't let that stop you, it may take longer but you can achieve the goals you set for yourself as long as you stick with it!
I have hypothyroid, and peri-menopausal, gluten intolerant and I am starting to think that I have arthritis in my hips and legs (I still need to get to the dr. to have that checked out). I am learning this is going to be a slow process for me, but I am now OK with that. As long as each day I am getting a bit healthier I will take the baby steps.
