  • Whatever you end up starting with, start slow at a rate that is safe for you. I have tried jumping straight into hard corp programs and have always ended up getting discouraged and quitting because I think I should be able to do what everyone else is doing. Just starting something....anything....is better than nothing!…
  • I agree with the other post about you possibly being surprised how many steps you are actually getting in. Once you get a pedometer (and it is worth spending a little extra for a good one) you will be able to track your steps better. I have a misfit shine and love it because it is waterproof so I never have to take it…

  • I recently purchased her new DVD set Miracle Miles for a friend's birthday and decided to try them for myself too. There are 5 DVD's in the set and a band for resistance. I am pleasantly surprised how much I have enjoyed them and was even more surprised when the weight started coming off - everything else I was trying…
  • Thank you for sharing your success story and photos....your story reflects such honesty and inspires me to work harder than I have been. I know many others will be inspired as well! You look amazing and so much happier!!
  • To be honest I never got past the first week because the program annoyed me for some reason. But if you go to teambeachbody.com and look at success stories, a lot of the winners were women that did Slim in 6. I think I found the monotany too much to take. Maybe if there was upbeat music to it I could have hung in there.
  • You sound like my sister....always fussing at how every time she tries to lose weight, mom cooks her favorite meals and invites her over for dinner. My advice to my sister is always the same "just say no". Pretty simple...."sorry mom, I have plans tonight but how about you and dad coming over tomorrow night for some…
  • Sending you a request.
  • I live in a small town with little restaurant choice so Chili's is the place my husband and I usually go when we want to eat out before a movie or something. We order off of the 2 for $20 and I get the sirloin BUT I was just told that when you order it you have to tell them that you want it "lighter choice" or else they…
  • Congratulations....last week my BMI finally dropped below 30! It felt great just knowing I didn't fall under the "obese" category anymore!!! My next aim is 12 pounds to fall under the "overweight" category! Keep pushing!!!
  • Live in Georgia now but born and raised in Kane, Pennsylvania!! Love my Steelers!!!!
  • A number of years ago my mother's best friend died after a long fight with cancer. My mom's friend was a beautifu, petite women that always cared too much about what others thought and lived her life in constant worry of gaining even 3 pounds. She had an amazing spirit and glow about her but even in her 60's carried with…
  • The 10 pound weight loss is great but tackling the smoking is the real prize here! Congratulations on your determination to love yourself enough to quit!!! Stay strong, the desire for it has a way of sneaking back just when you think you have it licked. You know you have the battle won when you smell it on other people and…
  • Wow - truly an inspiration to others!!
  • I just read a great book called "Metabolism Reset Diet" and the author is very against the whole concept of it being about calorie in/calorie out because our bodies are all different and that calories are different. For example, eating a 250 calorie brownie is going to have a different affect on your body than eating a 250…
  • Wow - you did great! I bought the program last month but finishing a current one up. Seeing your results makes me excited to start it!
  • I just asked my boss if I purchased it on my own, could I get an exercise ball chair. I had to show him a picture of it so he could see that it has a base to it so it would be stable in my cubby but he said sure!!! He was just concerned that I could get hurt or it would roll around and get in other people's way.

  • I guess that I should add that reading the book explained everything in very clear terms in regards to the importance of fueling your body according to how your body needs fueled. I thought that I was doing everything right: counting calories, logging, staying within my calories and exercising at least 5 days a week. But…
  • Nearly the same problem but not as fit as you.....tried everything, nothing worked for 6 months. I read about "resetting your metabolism" and found a book "Fast Metabolism Diet" and buttaching.....it is working. Seems that putting your body through the same old rigamoroar day in and day out can screw your metabolism up,…
  • I just got off that train!!! I am almost 50 and all of the jumping was just too much for me and even though there is modification that can be done, I didn't think the workout would be as effective if I couldn't get past using the modifications. Because I wasn't doing all of the jumping, my heart rate wasn't getting any…
  • Know your confusion....it took me a month to finally make a decision. I had never used a HRM so comparing everyting out there was confusing. I ended up purchasing the Polar FT7 and I have been using it for 2 weeks now. I got it on Amazon.com for $64 - the strap is very comfortable and it is really easy to use and…
  • Hey there xsunshinechic.....I just started T25 and I know exactly what you mean!! This week was my first week and it was a booger to get through the workouts and the one I did on Wednesday (circuit) really, really sucked. But I decided to accept that I cannot expect myself to pull the DVD's out of the box, pop them in and…
  • I spent an entire month researching heart rate monitors....didn't need anything to fancy but definitely wanted to get an accurate calories count and know if I was working out hard enough to get my heart rate into the fat burning zone. I finally decided on the Polar FT7 and ordered it off of Amazon.com for $64.99 - it is…
  • Hey there Sydney, Wild Cherry Pepsi..........just sounds dangerously good!! I try to stay away from any kind of soda in general. Once in a while, if it is really really cold, I might drink a diet rootbeer or diet Dr. Pepper. My liquid calories come early in the morning with my coffee...can't give up my creamer!! I do use…
  • Well hopefully the day will come when we will be complaining about those last 3 and 4 pounds that won't budge!!
  • I will be starting my first round on 08/11 - finishing up another program that hopefully has prepared me for T25. I am anxious to get started. People tend to get pretty good results from this program.
  • Extra 40 pounds - I wish I were only carrying an extra 4!!
  • Hey there Gerry - I am excited you joined this group. I am still doing the JNL Fusion that I was doing while in the other group. I am in week 6 and even though the weight hasn't been melting off, I am definitely seeing some changes in my body. I am going to move on and attempt T25 in a couple of weeks. Hopefully JNL Fusion…
  • My weekends tend to through me off track too - I get so frustrated with myself because I sacrifice so much during the week, eating within my calories and getting up at 5:30 to sweat like a pig and then the weekends come and it's like I forget what it is I am trying to accomplish here. When Monday mornings roll around I…
