My story feels a bit similar, haven't officially been called peri menopausal but .. I'm 43, been using MFP ofg and on for whatbefeels like forever. Trying to get myself on track and then to stay there.

That's my first mini goal as well, currently 210/211 down from heaviest of 216. For now I want to hit 175 and reevaluate if I want to maintain or lose more. Add me if you want! I'm hoping to add some more active friends!

Hi! 42 here, married, 2 teenage boys. Been on this road a long time, used MFP like 10 years ago to get fit and was doing well. In the last few years I gave up, gained a lot of weight and I'm sure lost lots of muscle. I did so so in January and have been doing better for February but need motivation and support! Hope…

I've been a member for a long time, was very active for the first couple years but didn't stay that way and gained so much weight. I am back, for the last month so far and am looking for more active friends too!

I have lots of people I know who love it, but some of them seem like they're addicted to it. Several post when they didn't take it for a day they just couldn't manage. No idea why I'd want to start on something that made me feel like that.

36, mom of 2 boys. My 12 year old kicked my butt at the mud run we did this summer. I have been off and on for the last few years. Looking for some additional support and motivators:) anyone feel free to add me!

Pizza is not the devil. Are there options for type ? Think crust saves some calories, start with a salad. Eat it. Have a light supper if you have too many calories. It will be fine.

I have stopped and started so many times! even since January. I turned 36 yesterday, I know it's just going to get more difficult to lose, especially around the middle. I am determined to stop making excuses and get back on track as well! add me if you like!

Eating in my car on the way home from work. I grab sweet or salty junk snacks :(

Running tape could be kinesiology tape. I've just learned more about this recently. Google it, there seems to be good reviews about it.

What are your shoes like? lots of miles or new or possibly a bad fit? Running on a hard surface is also harder on your body. Trail runs are my favorite!

I have always eaten my exercise calories. When I used an HRM (it has since died) and logged accurately, netting about 1400 calories I lost 30 pounds. I have gained it back b/c I returned to unhealthy habits, but there is nothing wrong with eating your exercise calories if you are staying in your goal net calories.
-
I haven't been logging. I have lost a couple pounds, but I am a slacker :(
-
CW:178 GW:160 (for now) August-170 I would like to log daily, cut out a bunch of sugar!
-
I would like to join! Been slacking and having a hard time getting on track!

This. I hate it when people say that. Woman are different but they are all REAL. Tiny ones big ones, in between ones. Whatever.
-
If you are set to sedentary you need to log and eat the exercise calories as well. Whole grains and fiber will also help keep you fuller longer

THIS!

Beautiful girl! Sorry for your loss, pets are great, especially those that fit in so perfectly.

Realizing you've gone too far and need some help is a big step. There are definitely professionals out there that can help. If your parents are against it remind them getting help is confidential and nothing to be ashamed of. (maybe they aren't worried about that, but I as a mom I can't understand not wanting your child to…

Ever wear an HRM so you know the calorie burn is accurate? MFP can overestimate. Also, there's lots of ideas surrounding starvation mode. You'd have to be under eating for a long time. You do have to properly fuel your body to keep it working at its best though. Sorry this is not put together well, but first I would say…

Onion ruins so many good things.

A weight gain can be from so many things! It could be b/c you've worked out hard and muscles are retaining water or too much sodium, not enough water, hormone fluctuations. Way to keep at it and have a positive attitude!

well, when I started writing this there was not the pic yet. oops.

I don't really say either but this just made me think, "HEY YOU GUYS" (as in Sloth from Goonies, for those who have not had the chance to see this classic ;)

My lovely girl is an outdoor dog and loves to bring back whatever critter she can. She leaves her gifts in the yard. Some of these are freshly killed and others have obviously deceased for some time.

how to respond to this. Insulted b/c you called me fancy pants or happy b/c you called me a genius..... Just make sure you eat the ice cream.
-
Or put it in a cone and eat it while walking :) Then you don't even have to count it.

My boys probably only weighed a couple pounds more at 1 or 2 than when they were 9 or 10 months. They were chubby, not fat, but slimmed out as they became more active and did lots of running. I've seen lots of very round babies who don't stay on that trend as they grown into active toddlers. But 32 pounds does seem like a…
