  • I've had my FT7 for three years and absolutely love it. I've used it in the water without a problem. I bought two extra straps just to be able to rotate them after rinsing or washing them.
  • Roasted turkey breast and whole sweet potato w/cinnamon. Gala apple later this afternoon.
  • So many good ideas here - Thanks for all the replies. :drinker:
  • This is FANTASTIC! Good job. :drinker:
  • Thank you ladies. I believe I will listen to my BMF to calculate my calories. I am still in the losing stage, with 30 pounds to go approximately. I will also need to have a deficit to continue to lose. I have been doing it slowly, so the deficit won't be huge. I'm looking forward to starting the program.
  • Anyone?
  • Super glue the lid on. Odds are she won't notice and you will know you cannot open it.
  • I love my Polar FT7. I ordered extra chest straps to have for my multiple workouts during the week, but that is just my preference. I went several months using only one strap and rinsing it everyday. I've used my FT7 for almost three years now without any problems. The battery is a little hard to replace and the design…
  • I don't run, but I do carry - legally. IF I did run, I would use the Flashbang bra holster or the compression undershirt with the holster under the arm. http://www.thewellarmedwoman.com/apps/store/default.asp?view=search&groupid=1257
  • Me 98 4439 + 98= 4537 Several edits needed for posts crossing over I think this is correct 4645 + 98= 4743
  • I ride three bikes, 2003 Harley Road King, 1980 Harley Super Glide and a 1965 Harley Panhead. Hubby has his own bikes. :glasses:
  • I have a BodyMediaFit (BMF) that I wear 23+ hours a day. It tracks sleep patterns, steps, calorie burned and activity time and intensity. I only take it off to charge while taking my shower. I have a Polar FT7 that I had used for a couple of years and loved it. I still wanted to know how many calories I burned in my…
  • Congrats! I'm not a real emotional type person, but I was so, so excited when I crossed that "line" too. It is hard to describe the feeling except that I knew I really was on my way to being healthy again. :flowerforyou:
  • When I made my mind up to go back to Capezios, I did some research online. I am going to probably buy the white pair and paint them. I'm not sure what design yet, but anything would be better than the solid black or solid white. I have a girlfriend who is going to paint some canvas tennis shoes for me, so I may have her do…
  • My 1st & 2nd pair were Capezio dance sneakers - ugly as all get out. This last pair are Bloch dance sneakers - very pretty. :flowerforyou: Unfortunately, the Capezio are much better for MY feet. I'm about ready for a new pair, so I'm going back to Capezios. Go to a dance store and try on the shoes for the proper…
  • I love, love my Hemi Chrysler 300C and will probably buy another one next time also. In my garage, I also have a 2003 Harley Road King and a 1965 Harley Panhead. These are my toys, hubby has his own!
  • I'm kinda worried about my driver's license. It shows me 100 lbs heavier! It is up for renewal late in the summer and I hope to be at my goal weight by then, I still have 25 more pounds to go.. I plan of taking a picture of it, just to prove to people how much I weighted and lost.
  • Ha Ha, that is what I tell people also and add on that I'll be so excited when it happens. I'll laugh and they usually laugh with me.
  • Occasionally mine would show that message. It was usually when it was directly under the bottom elastic of my bra and the elastic would roll. I try to wear it about an inch below the elastic now. Love my FT7.
  • Not a stupid question from my point of view. I'm at that point also. I'll check out StrongLifts 5x5. I asked at my gym for an instructional type class for women and got nowhere with the female owner.
  • I love my BMF Link and feel more confident in my calorie numbers burned. I generally wear it on my left arm during the day and on my lower calf at night. This is just to give my arm a rest. I have worn it on my calf during the day also and have not seen a difference in the readings. If I ever get to the point of feeling…
  • I went cold turkey also. I had been at an all-weekend event where the water fountain was broken and all that was available most of the day was sodas. This was back before bottled water was offered by city events. By the time the weekend was over, I was sick of sodas and felt like I was on a sugar high. I decided to give my…
  • The best way to track is to buy a heart rate monitor with a chest strap. Zumba calories burned is different for each individual since everyone has different instructors and different levels of workout. My HRM is a Polar FT7 and I love it.

  • LOL - This ^^^^^
  • I'm 61 and feel better than I did in my 40's. I don't believe anyone should put an age limit on losing weight and getting healthy!
  • Have you tried switching the band to your ankle area?
  • I had been wearing my Polar FT7 when exercising, but like you, I wanted to know how many calories I burn all day. I bought the BodyMedia Link and love it. I do zumba twice a week and will be starting NROLFW next week. I have already made some changes after seeing all the information from the BodyMedia. Looking to kick…
  • Maybe once a year and only if it is the only option at the time. :noway:
  • Please add me too! I just went and joined the largest NROLFW group. I'll be watching for a new group if it is formed.
