BodyMedia and NROLFW

I am preparing to start NROLFW and have a BodyMedia and a Polar FT7. I had the FT7 first and decided to add the BodyMedia to the mixture. Does anyone use the BodyMedia to calculate how many calories to eat daily while doing NROLFW? Or do you go by the book (which I have not finished reading yet). Just wondering

I do. The book did not allow me anywhere near enough calories, so I listen to my Body Media. I'm 5'4" and 132 pounds and I eat around 2000 calories a day on lifting days, 1800 on rest days.0

I suppose it depends on how strict you want to be with the book. If you wear your BodyMedia armband pretty much 24/7, you will have a VERY accurate account of YOUR metabolism...where as the book is using, good, but technically not-specific-to-you numbers. Personally, I kind of do a hybrid between MFP and BodyMedia....MFP says I should be netting ~1700 cals a day, but on days where I haven't moved as much (so I haven't burned 2200+ calories according to my armband) I will either do something to increase my deficit, OR I will eat less than my 1700 to try to keep my TRUE deficit at 500+. Does that make sense?0

Thank you ladies. I believe I will listen to my BMF to calculate my calories. I am still in the losing stage, with 30 pounds to go approximately. I will also need to have a deficit to continue to lose. I have been doing it slowly, so the deficit won't be huge. I'm looking forward to starting the program. :happy:0
