Thanks for this post. Your words resonate with me...especially after yesterday evening. Again, thank you.

I will have to try that brand achrysalis. How do you use it? Raw or melted? @saleo...there are so many great goat cheeses out there; I happen to love goat cheese, but it still messes with my stomach/digestion. One of my fav recipes is roasted red peppers and eggplant, topped with a dairy free pesto and goat cheese.…

5'6" (with curvy hips and bottom), 138 pounds, I wear a size 6-8 (depending on the brand) and looking to get to a 4-6.

Stay away from milk chocolate, which leads to chocolate binges. Try dark chocolate...the good stuff that I love: Vosges Red Fire bar (dark chocolate, cinnamon, and cayenne). YUM! And satisfying after just one little square!

Replace this "addiction" or tendency to binge with another healthy activity. For example, take a walk, join a gym and go right after work (that is what I do...I also live alone and have binge eating tendencies), go see a movie, meet some friends out for some shopping, or take a class at the gym. And remind yourself all the…

Yoga and acupuncture have helped me work through my achilles injuries. And being very careful when speed training or training on hills.

Slice it, bake it, (brush with olive oil and bake at 350-400F). Then top with basil pesto, goat cheese and roasted red pepper. Delicious! And if you have some balsamic on hand ...then you could reduce it and drizzle a little over the top.

Tofu is great...always drain it for at least 20 minutes before you cook with it. Check out the MFP vegetarian groups for recipes and tofu prep ideas.

So many great ideas! Keep em coming!

Thanks Pam! You have some great ideas in there. I think a rice cooker would be great. Time to hit Amazon...

YES! But, I have had some recent help with being put on a prescription that limits me. I find it so hard to not enjoy a great glass of wine, but you are so right. The pounds do seem to slip off easier and I have less temptation from the day after drinking munchies.

If you go to a running shoe store they should be able to watch your pronation and help you pick a pair that will help. Good luck. A great pair of shoes is priceless.

Some exercise activities I can do at home more comfortably, but I love the atmosphere of my gym- a lot of support and great instructors to really push me on my lazy days. I pay the same amount as you, but my gym is open until 10 p.m. I feel more accountable at the gym, and I push myself harder knowing others are doing the…

Going for a simple salad (since I am low on my Vit K today) with a Boca Chik'n Patty and some homemade vinegarette. It is usually just what I want after a long session at the gym :)

I am sorry you had to deal with that! Try to stay upbeat and don't let that type of person get you down. Remember you are there for yourself, and to feel good. Try not to let that type of person affect you - your gym time is about you, not them. And if you question if you are using some equipment wrong, then just ask the…

Pick a top grade of beef or buffalo and have yourself a burger. Free range, organic meat is more expensive, but most of my meat eater friends say it is way worth the cost. Other great stand-ins...wild game (elk, in particular).

When I drink too much during a workout, I get a stitch. It helps to raise your hands above your head or atleast put them on your head. That usually helps me to get rid of the stitch...I do that when I run sometimes :)

My allergy symptoms do get worse during the Fall when I am eating gluten (stuffiness, etc), and I am always plagued with brain fog post gluten.

almond is a better option for me...lower calories and less fillers and sweeteners But, when baking, I use coconut milk.

Elana is great for baking without any binder (xanthan gum). Karina's recipes are the best - especially brunch and soup options.

Hi everyone! I am so happy I found this groupon MFP! I am self-diagnosed gluten intolerant, and I have never been tested for celiacs. I went gluten free in July of 2009, after dealing with bouts of digestive issues. Because I am a dairy-free pescatarian/already on a limited diet, I felt the first allergen I should try…

I have not been tested for celiac, but I do know that I have a gluten intolerance. My symptoms are: instantaneous headache, bloating, cramps, gas, constipation, and (even sometimes up to 2 days later) diarhea. Long term exposure: regular bouts with cold sores, more viruses/colds/flu/etc., diarhea/abnormal stool, gas, and…

I am right there with you! I want to drop about 10 pounds to reach my goal weight. But, I am finding that even though it is REALLY tough to see things change on the scale, my clothes are fitting better and getting bigger on me. I sometimes wonder do I give up on the weight number and focus on inches instead?

Vegetarian for 16 years, with a briedf stint as a vegan. I am dairy free and trying to get back to gluten free.

If it's right...it's right. You just know. And no amount of flowers can make it more or less so.

Beer and pizza...and anything sweet that I haven't baked myself. So delicious, but sooooooo bad on the scale.
