Yes I absolutely have that problem and I am a scale person too. I have dropped a size, but the scale hasnt changed. I have stopped doing weights for a few weeks so that psychologically I can stay motivated by seeing the scale change. I am easier on myself in that my goal weight has changed because I figure to allow around…

Yes I am sure it is 1200 calories. It was perfectly clear.

I was watching Biggest Loser (Australia) on Wednesday and the contestants are allowed 1200 calories per day, regardless of the exercise they do.

are you sure you are logging everything correctly? Even that bit of milk in your coffee and the thin spread of mayonnaise? I am wondering because when I struggled to get to 1200 i wasnt eating enough protein foods. If you are over your protein count I'm not not sure what you could be eating that is so low calorie, but high…

I'm with you! I use a cheat day for going out for dinner or lunch, not just eat whatever all day.

You really do have to do this for yourself and everything that cowboy says is true. One thing I wanted to say is, if you are AWARE that worrying about your weight could be a problem in the future, then you have the choice to make sure it doesnt go that far. People who develop eating disorders dont only have an issue with…

We had a great commercial on TV in Australia where the mum is dancing to a Wiggles DVD and her daughter is just standing there with her mouth open! haha. Good idea though - those Wiggles work really hard in their dance routine and the songs are just so catchy!!!

I have quite bad asthma so I went to the doctor and the did up a treatment plan so that I could do whatever exercise I wanted. Depending on your fitness level, dont mistake normal "puffing" with asthma. If you have a control plan with your doctor and use a preventative as well as your ventolin you should be ok.

I am just wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference or is one more effective than the other? 1). a varying heart rate program on the cardio machine (as in going faster and then slower to vary your heart rate) 2). Keeping your heart rate in the "fat burning" zone rather than the "cardio" zone (FBZ=110-140, CZ=140…

Can you tell me how much exercise you are doing per day? I am on 1200 calories and I weigh 134 (my goal is 115 also) and I am not losing anything at the moment.

Has anyone else noticed that digital cameras tend to be more offensive than the older 35mm cameras? I think theres a difference there, its like it makes you rounder or something....i think it might be that because of the viewing screen on a digital people hold them pointing UP rather than angled DOWN and UP is NEVER a good…

This is the actual website for the Glycemic Index. Its a university research model, NOT a fad diet. It recommended for diabetics because the carbohydrates burn slowly through the body, thus keeping you full longer by regulating your blood sugar level more efficiently. Have a read. http://www.glycemicindex.com/

Just a thought for you: If you make a particular day for a cheat meal and try and make yourself have it when you dont want it, isnt that the same thing as denying yourself something completely when you want it? Maybe instead of making a day, let that day happen when you actually feel like having it. The other thing is: Its…

Hey, think about it this way: Can you IMAGINE how embarrassing it must be to be HER? To walk around NOT KNOWING that she's such an idiot? Walking around saying things like that and people hearing her and saying to each other "Oh my god, did you hear what she said?" You just outed a silly person!! congrats!! :drinker:…

Actually, if you do some research on circadian rhythms, your body DOES start to prepare itself for sleep at certain times of the evening and digestion slows down while you sleep. This is partly why long term night shift workers are more prone to health problems than day time workers. And the changing time zone thing is…

This is PURELY a suggestion, and a completely raw thought, but I just read what you wrote about enjoying the beers and I was thinking that if I drink too much beer (on the odd occasion that I drink it), it gives me slight diahorrea, (i apologise if you're a visual person) so if you've just cut it out, your body might need…
