I'm 5'3" and began June 2013 at 245lbs. Mostly through weight training I have lost over 100lbs. Losing most of the weight within the first year and a half. Along the way fitness has become a passion and not just something I have to do but something I love to do.

I hate that word as well. Diets fail because most of the time people are under eating. If you want permanent change then you have to make a lifestyle change. Keep on going and remember you got this!

Thanks again everyone for the kind words

If lifting is wrong then I don't want to be right. Start weight was 245 lbs I started out with cardio but about 6 months into my weight loss journey I discovered lifting and never looked back. I wish more women weren't afraid to lift heavy. It is such an empowering feeling you get when you do.

You look great! Just goes to show how little the scale actually tells you.

I began in June 2013 at 5'3" 245 lbs size 24 pant and 2x shirt. Over three years later I am a size 8 pant and small shirt. I don't know my current weight. Maybe one day I will step on the scale but for now that number isn't important to me.

I still have a ways to go to where I want to be but lifting was the best choice I made to get there.

Awesome story and your mum is a wise woman. As far as I know you have to add a pic on the website and not the app. It looks like a little camera. You can click to edit this post and add one like that from the website.

Thanks everyone for y'all kind words <3 it means a lot to me. For those asking about what workouts I do send me a message. I tend to get excited when talking fitness and my messages can get kind of long plus I have no clue how to reply to just one person on here :o

I love meal prepping. It's cheaper plus you don't have to throw out things that have gone bad before you got around to eating them.

Setting small goals really helps. I've started and stopped so many times because I wasn't loosing fast enough. One day I decided to start small. Start setting healthy then added walking. Now I do workouts from home and have lost 55lbs since June. But dont just go by they scale. Take pics and measurements. If you are…
