I bought one of those Wal-mart scales last year after I moved, nice styling but that tiny Unit button on the bottom made it a major pain to use. And the setting defaults to Lb/Oz, so you always have to pick it up. Stay away from any scales Wal-mart sells under their Mainstays label, they all have the same electronics…

That's good to know! Any complaints so far? This has pretty good reviews on Amazon, I might just get this one instead of the one I was thinking of :)

I was looking at the cheaper one, did you have a problem with the battery life? I read a few reviews and a few people had a problem with that.
